Staley 51, Park Hill South 43 Final

Sorry just got caught up at home...................what a season for PH South congrats big time! Onward goes Staley who dictated the pace of this one the last three quarters. Not sure what the HC told his kids after that slow start but boy did they run the floor and finish well! After struggling at the stripe they were ice at the line to close this one out.

NOW they leave home to face one of THE elite Girls BB programs in MO on the road in Rock Bridge. Cannot afford even a smidge of a letdown but please remember they now have only lost to a team in Arkansas who is wiping the floor in its class highly likely to win it all down that way NO Missouri losses.

Will try to tune in as I can but it is SNAKE SATURDAY in Northtown got plans...................

Post game addendum: You parents who (yeah I get the fact that place was very stuffy and hot last night) felt the need to cuss, scream and near blows in the parking lot UNCOOL. Heard and saw a couple of kids getting into it similarly gee wonder where they get the idea to do such?????

Staley wins in CoMo today now heads back there to Mizzou Arena to face most likely Springfield Kickapoo (have seen LSW a couple of times not sure how they pull this one off today).

Staley will thump Poo
All about runs. They beyond impressed me with their speed and athleticism vs. one of the best front lines you will ever see (outside all star IWA) in MO. Never think I don't respect one of the greatest public school Girls BB programs of all time but Staley is indeed on a major roll.

In saying that let's do reality.....................the Falcons have 2-3 players I could see at IWA but not nearly enough. Whomever wins this great public semi I will peek in but have zero win expectations vs. the aforementioned I think we all agree should go National ala Link Academy boys and leave MO C6 alone.

Maybe 2 as of right now. Maybe.
Miles is the only one for certain who get on the court there. Parker would fit great with Rolfes's defensive mindset, so she is a maybe in my opinion. But I haven't watched Staley as much as some on this board, I'm sure.
The post could develop into a player for them, but isn't there just yet for what Rolfes would want from her.

I think Staley rolls Kickapoo if they can keep Kickapoo off the offensive boards. That is a big if, but possible. I don't think they will have any trouble with Kickapoo's pressure or traps.

As PH South found out Staley excels running the floor and pressing only makes them all the more dangerous. On the offensive boards note South actually got lots of good inside looks just had one of "those" nights. I would actually like the Panthers in a rematch we shall see how Kickapoo fares but regardless I expect this to be a very entertaining game, right up there with what should be a pretty wide open C4.

FWIW (wash rinse repeat last year) the three favorites are all STL privates..................

Agreed.
Pressing a good team with able ball handlers is not a winning formula. Needs to be used rarely and strategically. Kickapoo seems reliant upon it. Advantage Staley. Kickapoo is also very long and athletic--relying on offensive boards after (what I believe is) bad shot selection. Staley should have enough size (both length and strength) to withstand that, in my opinion.
I'm betting Staley gets the win.
