Yes, Ste Gen is a bigger school so they “should” beat Valle, but with all the Valle hype, I’m surprised this isn’t blowing up on here. Or maybe all of the Valle posters have disappeared this week as a result and will show back up when they pummel another traditionally terrible team

I was there, It was a good game with both teams playing hard. Everyone has expected SG to get back on a winning track and maybe this is a start for them. Valle has 34 kids on their roster and lots of kids on both side were cramping up due to the heat. Valle's year will depend on how the new QB progresses and injuries.

I was at the game, very hard fought game. Valle doesn't have any depth at all. Line is much smaller than last year. Good skill position players. QB has to throw on the run most of the time. Without the depth this year Valle can not afford to have any injuries at all. I believe it's not going to be the usual. With that said both schools could have good years. Biggest hurdle for Valle will be the fact that Hayti is in their district. Hayti looks pretty darn good this year.

I agree. I’m not totally shocked that Hayti beat Thayer, but the margin by which they did surprised me.
