Jasper and McAuley are not playing Friday night. I believe they are going to play the JV game (more like Jasper's JV against McAuley's team) either tonight or next Monday...not sure which Monday it was.

We have definately taken some hits on the injury front here lately. I still believe it could have and still could be when seasons done be the best SRVC team ever. We have weapons all over the field on both sides of the ball. Now you have to stay healthy and right now thats a big issue. If things all fall into place like I've heard with our injuries then this could all be a huge blessing come districts with the rest. Don't write off the Tigers and this great Coaching staff just yet.

The Miller teams from 08 through 12 or 13 were some of the best teams of the SRVC. Heck i remember when 11th ranked Lockwood rolled into Miller the 07 season with their two pigskin cover boys and got beat in the season opener and everyone seemed to think that team was that good too.

GF in 08 and 09 deserve to be in the conversation.
What year was the conference formed?

Conference winners best I can tell from MoSports records. The banner on gym says Est. 2004, which is conveniently how far back MOSports goes.

2004 PC
2005 Greenfield
2006 Greenfield
2007 PC
2008 Miller
2009 Miller/Greenfield
2010 Miller
2011 Miller
2012 Miller
2013 Jasper
2014 Miller/Jasper/Lockwood

Thank you! Amazing that lockwood has never won the conference outright with all their tradition.

They've been waiting for everyone else to drop down to WEMO standards they were used to.
Didnt lockwood make a state championship game when we were in the wemo? Jasper had more struggles in the wemo than they have in the srvc. We never had a win against adrian and im not sure we ever beat midway that i can recall. I think liberal is in the same boat and they had some really good teams in the late 90s and 90s.

Do not discount Lockwood. They beat Sarcoxie handily without Bouldin. Schnelle was like 11 for 15 and 160 yards. Bates was pushing 150 yards on the ground a couple min into the 2nd qtr. Freshman Masterson did an amazing job. Their defense is solid across the board. The scores this season would have had a larger spread but for entire season lock woods JV has played the majority of the second half of every game. Bouldin is great but by no means is he all they have. And Lockwoods JV by the way is undefeated as well, beating Eldo's JV and Forsyth's varsity, so look for Lockwood to be tough for a while.

Finally I'm getting more Lockwood faithfuls on here. I've been telling people it's lonely here. Tigertough is right, for the next couple years we should be pretty solid. Great group of kids.

Will you guys have enough for 11 man next year?
I keep hearing this question, or questions about if we're going 8 man. We have somewhere close to 40 kids on the team.. like 12 or 13 are seniors. Even with losing those seniors to graduation, we'll still have enough to play 11 man ball, and that's not counting the Jr. High players who will be freshmen next year.

Since Lockwood is in the SRVC I don't consider them a WEMO team.
Miller did play (and lose to) that Lockwood team with the Shorters in the playoffs one year in a rainstorm (is a mudhole required in the WEMO?). If you call that a loss to the WEMO, that would make it 1-1.
I'm pretty confident Lockwood handled Adrian in 02.

Colorado has a national title. Colorado plays in the Pac 12.
If Colorado was still something to talk about, the Pac 12 would be saying they have Colorado who has won a national championship in their conference. When touting the strength of the Big 12, do you think they point out all the national titles that have left the conference or do you think they claim their members (including Texas) have won X number of titles?
