That's funny that a Jasper guy has taken several shot at Miller in several posts. Miller has won or tied for the conference title 6 of the last 8 years. As we all know small schools go up and down in talent which makes 6 of 8 a pretty good run. Miller along with Pierce City will be back in a few years as they have very talented freshman classes that have seen Varsity action already.

I wasnt taking a shot... But when someone says my School hasnt been good lately and i jabbed back with only losing 5 games in 3 yrs winning the conf 3 yrs ago sharing the conf 2 yrs ago with Miller And Lockwood And last year Lockwood And Jasper both being 8-0 going into last game of the yr for the district And going to 2ot is pretty good for a School who doesnt Have a past of winning a ton... And you never heard me say Millers past wasnt good bc i would never say that... So when a Team loses more in 1 yr than a Team has in 3 and that person says theyve been bad well That's just stupid imo..
You took the Word great wrong... I didnt mean it like they were the best thing since sliced Bread.. I said Jasper wasnt going to be great ( which meant not so good ) Im Sorry if you dont understand what im trying to say.. And in my opinión a Team who has a history of losing loses 5 games in 3 years is great imo. You dont have to agree but Its my opinión and you dont have to like it.

I think what Jasper has done the last few years is impressive. That is why I an so high on coach Atkins. Jasper didn't have that much talent but he made winners out of them. I just think you need to do more than win a weak conference to pound your chest. Some of Millers titles were against a weak league but many years there were some real good Greenfield, PC, and even a couple decent Lockwood teams.
And see That's my point to you we won bc everyone else was week !! You Can't make everyone happy.. Its not Jaspers fault other teams have been down. And just like when Miller And PC start winning again i can say Its only bc Jasper Lockwood And all the other Srvc schools are down. I have no problems with Miller they always play there best but ill always be proud of our boys here rather anyone believe's we were good or not bc those yrs there wasnt much better in our area (srvc)for the last 3 yrs. You don't seem to realize there are things besides record to determine conference strength. Non-con games, playoff results, and most of all, the eye test!
Lord believe me last yrs play-off game vs Drexel was hard !! No one seen it coming. We Have played Stockton And even Windsor who beat a good Crest Ridge Team 2 Times in back to back weeks.. Im Sorry we haven't looked good to you.. Maybe just Maybe Miller might get us This year.

District games AREN'T playoffs. I'm not sure the SRVC has won a playoff game in 3 years and haven't been in many.

They had good backs. Maybe the best back combo ever in the SRVC. Beyond that.....not much. They would fall into the category of decent Lockwood teams. The SRVC is weak right now.....real weak. That wasn't one of the teams Miller beat in their title years though.
But if i checked the standings they'd be considered great. Follow your own logic. Jeez.
Here's a newsflash: The SRVC has always been weak. Their one shining moment was GF beating Adrian when Adrian was down to their 3rd string freshman QB. Of course Adrian beat GF the next year.

Adrian won state in 2002 but didn't see Valle. Why didn't Miller make a playoff run then?

Cycles? You should check the 'standings' for the last 35 years.
I could write a manifesto on what went wrong with Adrian football. I won't but I'll say anytime you get a good old boy network in place it destroys solid foundations. Adrian is now what butler was for 20 years.
Cycles are created by more than enrollment and football classes. At the small schools, it usually has more to do with coaching.

Adrian did get their revenge the next year. You failed to mention it was against a team that was down to playing freshman db's and a Sr. Db playing his first year of football and it took overtime to do it when said db's were burnt for the win

2010- Miller lost to Valle in the playoffs and Valle won the state game
These were some of the really good Miller teams that got the top teams right out of the gate. No excuses but if Miller was on the other side of the bracket they would have possibly made it further. And I say possibly because know one knows how it would have played out.. SRVC is a very weak conference but in the earlier days of that conference was a little bit more competitive but not much.
