Spurrier out SC wins???

I know it was Vandy but still first SEC win this year.
I listen to satellite radio, and liked the interviews of Steve Spurrier, and one show he even called in live. In all the interviews he claimed over and over, in each interview over a period a 4 or 5 days, that his message to his team was falling on deaf ears and the it was time for him to step aside and let a new coach work. He said he could no longer relate to many of today's SC players. He explained he'd hung on to his coaching responsibilites too long, made mistake coming back this year, and it was best for the SC team that he retire. He went on to explain the new coach was instituting a different style of practice and hoped it would work out. Spurrier explained that most coaches get out when they are 60. He was asked what his wife thought of his retirement and he said my wife want's me to coach until I'm 90. ( the inference was, to keep him out of the house lol). Spurrier is has always been blatantly honest. I have no reason to believe his quitting was none other than the best thing for him and his football team.
