Spring Softball State Tournament

will be held at Rains Field on the campus of Three Rivers again this year. Semis Finals will be May 22nd with the 3rd place and championship games on May 23rd. After this year they plan to move it to Springfield so if you're from the SEMO area and want to catch the Final 4 without driving 3 or 4 hours you better do it this season.

Game times will be 5pm & 7pm on Friday - 11am & 1pm on Saturday.

I would guess the folks playing in it would disagree. It won't be long til there is no fall season, too many schools moving to spring for it not to happen.

The Final 4 is set. Defending Champs, Kennett will play Crest Ridge at 5:00 pm on Friday the 22nd and West County will play Stockton at 7:00 pm.

When that does happen it will be like baseball is now. Fall will be conference tournament, spring will be state. But then the traditional softball powerhouse teams will be playing in the spring state tournament.

Semi Final scores:

Kennett defeated Crest Ridge 11-1 in 5 innings

West County scored a run in the bottom of the 7th to beat Stockton 1-0

3rd place game at 11am championship at 1pm tomorrow.
