Interesting. Because all of the threads made by the bots are still around.
Anyone else notice if their thread (s) got deleted?
Maybe it was rivals trying to force us to go to the paid forum. Lol.
I keep all potential options open but definitely moving on once we confirm (fingers crossed) this bot attack is over most likely Monday morning.
Thats exactly why I listed Rivals and/or Yahoo as a suspect!!
As long as this resolves in full I don't care who did it just want it to never happen again but cyber criminals are evolving right alongside tech. I logged out then changed my password to one nobody will be able to decipher (ultra complex) and would recommend all accounts here do the same.
I did notice no bot/new accounts liking any of my posts since I did this. Someone a bit better IT savvy would have to discern whether this attack could have come from someone breaking into any number of our accounts................
A single bot ad thread appeared overnight. This could be an attempt to start this all over again. It was an already ignored account so no damage here.
Bots replying to other bots. One just appeared here a bit ago instantly put on ignore BUT the attempts keep coming, folks.
New one just appeared. Reporting to Rivals knowing it will be who knows how long before they do anything.Looks like zero last night................
AGAIN sorry to say this is not some standard issue bot/spam attack. Please report the one that just appeared.
NO BOTS over the weekend. Woohoo! Gonna be on and off barring their return until circa August 11 when it will become time to "get down to business". I am going to post a survey about my Pick Em proposals on that date especially splitting out 8-man beginning this season...............

We had a break and suddenly the bots returned. Has anyone checked out the other forums? Was it only football that got hit?
It originally looked that way to me too.. but if you refresh, all the messages from that person go away after the first ignore.
Thankfully this attack only took seconds to erase BUT I am concerned the average poster sees all this and we start losing folks. PLEASE hang in there folks. Again I have a pretty darned good idea who is doing it and where it is coming from but cannot prove it (yet). I just want it to go away..............

I wouldnt put it on Joey but I also wouldnt put it past him as multiple usernames are his legacy
I hear ya and discount nothing but do the percentages. I actually was holding out hope 10 AM last Monday was the end but there have been little single indicators of trouble.
Did your entire thread get deleted that linked to the new board? If so, what if we all started posting links to new boards or sites on these bot threads? Perhaps that will result in bot threads being deleted?
