Some reasons Lockwood will pound Valle

Just for fun (and I know how much you guys love computer rankings) I checked out the current MaxPreps rankings for each semifinalist in each class:

Class 1 - #1, #2, #4, #10 (Lockwood)
Class 2 - #1, #2, #5, #7 (Clark County)
Class 3 - #1, #2, #3, #9 (Lutheran South)
Class 4 - #1, #2, #4, #5
Class 5 - #1, #3, #4, #5
Class 6 - #1, #2, #3, #4

According to them at least all semifinalists are Top 10.

1) They're playing with similar talent pools. Now that Lockwood has kids from 3 towns on its roster the main private school advantage is waived.

2) According to our friend counterallday the valle kids are soft and fold if you hit them. Lockwood will hit them.
3) In relation to 2, golden city is in barton county. Barton county is also the home of Lamar who trounced the warriors. Not just trounced but might have beaten valle worse than anyone in history. Barton county water makes for good football players. GC kids play for Lockwood. Buckle your chinstraps warriors.

Lockwood by 28.
I am not sure how to post a picture so I will attempt to post some stats from last Saturday's game and hope they line up ok:)

Total Yards Valle 430 Thayer 188
Rushing Valle 144 Thayer 97
Passing Valle 286 Thayer 91
First Downs Valle 22 Thayer 7
Turnovers Valle 2 Thayer 2
Penalties Valle 1-15 Thayer 4-40

Looking forward to this week's game. No word on the QB availability for Valle.

Nothing against Lockwood, they have done well for the 3rd place SRVC team and represented the conference well. The thing is, all this talk about playing in the semi's is true but meaningless. I don't think you could put 2 districts from class one together from the rest of the state as bad as the 2 Lockwood has come through. It isn't as though they have caught lightning in a bottle. It was predictable they get this far (I said they would as did many others). I am glad they are there but they need to keep their hat size the same until they do something Saturday that doesn't involve a running clock score before halftime (probably 1st qtr).
Midway program and Adrian program are not an easy road. Both those schools live and breathe football. Since your from Miller you probably didn't realize that. Burchetts kids will hit as hard as any 1 A team in the state, and Adrian never is too down. Playing in the semi's is not meaningless per your comment. Oh, I almost skipped that they also defeated a very good undefeated Lincoln team. So that being said they may get their butts handed to them Sat, but they have certainly earned this right.

Well said 164chevy. Couldn't agree more. Other forums are saying Valle senior QB is going to start Saturday which certainly doesn't help. Would love to see LW pull this one off but if not at least keep is close enough not to have a running clock.

Lockwood has a chance. Reasons why
Valle doesn’t like to be hit.
Weather will effect passing teams.
Valle doesn’t run as well as they pass
Lockwood is hot
Lockwood can run
Chips on shoulders over the fact no one is giving them a chance.
Not saying they will win, but the blowout views are kinda silly. Espically after hearing about winds and cold weather.

Valle by at least 4 Tds. Valle will punch LW in the mouth... Theres Not a Team close to Valle Lockwood has played.. Lockwood has about .001 percent chance to win.

When did I say Midway and Adrian weren't good HISTORIC programs? Who did either of them beat this year that is a quality team? Same with Lincoln? None of those teams would have beat PC, Sarcoxie, Thayer, Hayti, Valle, Penny, Monroe City, EB, Princeton, etc., etc. Lockwood played in probably the second weakest district in the state and only second to Lincolns! But hey, they are in the semi's! Sincere congrats, and I mean that sincerely, but let's keep it in perspective.

I really don't get it. How to you determine the quality of these programs above. You speak of teams that are not near Miller Mo. For me to determine how good a team is I have to actually see them play. Midway, Adrian and Lincoln were good football teams. I'm not a resident of Lockwood, but have a bit of a problem with you determining the whole states talent pool. You must travel a lot.
