So, who will be the next HFB Coach at MU?

I'd also say as a private institution, Baylor can shield itself in ways a public university cannot. Like the poster said above, for Briles to be fired after being by far the best football coach ever at Baylor leads me to believe the regents know things that are not in the public domain, and the report prepared for the regents is plenty damning enough. This also took down multiple people aside from Briles. I would also point out that Briles dropped his suit against the university for libel.

A list of particularly disturbing text messages from Briles and the coaching staff can be found here: https://www.dallasnews.com/news/bay...isconduct-football-players-court-record-shows

Bottom line, Briles and others created a culture where violence against women was excused.
I read the same texts. I guess I just don't see that. He screwed up and didn't report to the university and got busted doing so. But it's not like he was trying cover up from authorities or whatnot. If I were MU, and I had a vacancy, I'd at least talk to the guy. I'd bet almost anything he'll get another shot, and probably be wildly successful.

If he knew of anything as the head coach it is his job to get to the bottom of it, he is the final word, even if his intention was not to cover up he knew "something" was going on he KNEW IT so if he did not look into it or investigate that is were he went wrong. You as the Head coach are the ultimate final word that is your job as HEAD coach. end of story. So if somebody texted him anything about these incidents and he did nothing....he is at fault.
Never said he wasn't at fault. He is for not reporting to correct university people. But legal authorities were involved in at least half of those cases. Not like the texts proved he was scheming to get them out of anything. I'd take a guess, if he had it to do all over again, he'd report the incidents. And he'll get a second chance somewhere. They all do.

Willie Fritz...Kim Anderson/Barry Odom part II...no.
Jeff Brohm...Not until after the first five guys say no.
Scott Frost...Lack of experience would frighten me.
Philip Montgomery...I want to like this. A lot. But just can't for some reason. Still think he'd do well.
Chad Morris...Dig it. And probably very realistic.
Don Brown...LOLZ...No. Wow. This is an SEC head coaching gig.
Kevin Wilson...20 games under at IU...Sure. Why not? Dude, come on.
Matt Campbell...Feel same here as Morris. Wish he had another couple years at Iowa St though.
Lane Kiffin...I would seriously buy season tix tomorrow!
Seth Littrell...Again, SEC HEAD coaching gig. Pay and you don't hafta slum it like this.
Mike Bobo...After 7 or 8 guys say no, maybe. Should see a bit more success at CSU.
All of these are after Miles says no to $5M or so.
