If we heard that our "government collapsed," we would be in a state of panic (or euphoria for the libertarians out there) because we think it means that the government has been destroyed and it's time to get into the survival shelter. When they say the "government collapsed," they mean that they just have to hold a snap election or elect a new prime minister, etc. Standard procedure.
Parliamentary democracy can get contentious, but in the end, more compromise has to happen for things to be able to function which is a good thing in the long run.

Well the Russian invasion of Crimea an Ukraine pretty much shows that Americas word isn’t good for anything these days. Back in 1994 the US, France, UK guaranteed Ukraines security if they agreed to give up their nuclear arsenal. Obama did nothing when Crimea was invaded, and Biden did nothing when Russia invaded Ukraine.
