Skylar Thompson played a near perfect game against a very good defense.

Skylar is good. Not just good. A great High School Quarterback. Skylar had to be feeling it tonight, he was simply in the zone, he made it look easy. Thompson has to be the Simone Award winner after tonight's performance. (In light of the national news please he excuse this) Thompson assassinated the Park Hill defense! Park Hill brought the kitchen sink against him and from the first drive to last drive that ate nearly 6 minutes off the clock in the 4th quarter, he directed the offense flawlessly, that ended with his 42nd point. Thompson ran the ball and threw it like he was playing the game in the back yard.
Fort is blessed with a great defense but Thompson's supporting cast of skill players are average high school receivers and running backs. He was pin point with his passes only throwing one bad ball all night. Other than a few a coverage sacks, the Park Hill Defense was helpless. The game was so one-sided Park Hill was forced to try desperation on-side kick early in the 3rd quarter. What a performance.

Of all that kid's exploits Friday night the one that will forever stick out in my mind is the one where a PH rusher came unblocked, thought for sure he had him then Skylar ducked below his tackle and juked out of the way and went off the left side for a big gain!!!!!!! Not one of the moves that kid has is teachable just pure gifted instinct..................and boy is it fun to watch no matter who you are rooting for!

I think his instincts and pocket presence are what really stand out. As a Mizzou fan it kills me that they didn't offer. If Snyder is still coaching when Thompson gets to KSU I can't wait to see what he can do in Snyders offense.

The days of Michael Bishop may be coming back to K-State if this kid pans out the way that I think he will... Bill Snyder will have fun game planning with him at QB...

So true. Snyder from single wing offense at William Jewell offense under Patterson revolutionized the QB position 30 years later with Bishop at the QB. Ever since Bishop college football has refined what was learned from Bishop and taken it to the next level mixing in what was done under center and now done from the shotgun. With that said, Synder has innovated all he is going to do and thinking Thompson will rip Big 12 defenses in a different way remains to be innovated by the next offensive guru.
