The teams in the Webster Jam:
1. Cardinal Ritter---A class 3 school---I expect Ritter to be the top team in this Jam.
2. Webster--The Webster Statesmen will be a little down this year but Jay Blossom's team will be " " A hand full plus on defense.
2. Sikeston- A class 4 school---Fred Thatch should make the Sikeston Bulldogs competitive but this is not like playing those Zumwalt schools. Sikeston has dominated the St. Dominic Tournament for 5-6 years plus the Bulldogs entered the Zumwalt tournament last season. The Sikeston Bulldogs have had great success in St. Charles County.
4. Waynesville--Waynesville lost their big gun last season but my friend Chris Pilz will being a competitive team to St. Louis-Webster.

Sikeston and Cardinal Ritter will take Chaminade and Pacific's place from last season.

For the record....Sikeston beat Cardinal Ritter by 15 or so in Jefferson City this summer. I have no idea if Cardinal Ritter had all of their team there, however. Sikeston will be able to "hang."

Cardinal Ritter has a new coach. Randy Reed who won class 5 state championships in 2011 and 2012 @ McCluer North. Randy takes over for a coaching legend Marvin Neals @ Ritter. Ritter will have a couple of 6'8" players. Brandon Jackson 6'8" will be a senior ( A very nice player ) The other 6'8" player is a Jr. transfer from Miller Career who sit out last season. ( I can't remember his name but he will be a player ). Ritter lost their best guard from last season. The guard positions could be their weakness.
I am looking forward to seeing the Sikeston Bulldogs compete with the likes of a Webster, Ritter and Waynesville. I believe the Sikeston people will enjoy the Jam games @ Webster. The Sikeston Bulldogs play a exciting brand of basketball and I believe the Webster people will like the competition. This will be like old home week for Sikeston's Fred Thatch ( Soph ) and his father who visted St. Louis a lot this past summer.

The other 6'8 kid your referring is Corey Boyd at Ritter went back to Miller Career last year and is elgible this year at MIller Career. Ritter will be very athletic and will be a factor in Class 3A. Webster Groves will be small but very quick and fun to watch. They do have a high major recruit in Courtney Ramey along with several key players returning who have multiple years of varsity experience. Never underestimate Coach Blossom teams. Sikeston with Thatch and other young budding kids will be a factor in 4A and fun to watch. Should be a solid Jamboree.

Hey saintlouisbasketball, thanks for the information on Corey Boyd. I had Ritter competing for a class 3 state championship with Corey Boyd but I'll back off with your new information. Barstow out of Kansas City should roll everyone in class 1, 2, 3 and 4 with their reserves getting playing time.
Sikeston competes in a tough class 4 district 1 but after districts the road to the final four is no problem. Saintlouis basketball, you know a lot about high school basketball players in Missouri. How would you compare underclassmen Fred Thatch and Courtney Ramey?

Saintlouis basketball, I knew your son when he was a youth, where is he now?

My son is Courtney Ramey... Fred Thatch and Courtney are different players. Thatch is a powerful scoring guard that can do damage off the bounce and around the rim. Very athletic and tough to guard. Scores through contact better than any kid I have seen in awhile. Where as Courtney is a passing guard that can score when needed. He is very smart and excels at getting others easy buckets. Courtney has grown into elite size and has elite level toughness and IQ that stands out more than anything else. His passing game has taken off over the years where he used to be more of a scorer. Both are exceptional players with a bright futures ahead of them.

Barstow vs Tolton will be a great game in Class 3A.
