Sikeston over Cape 87 - 63

Train, it appears the loaded Sikeston Bulldogs are getting ready to defend their class 4 district 1 and sectional championships. I see the route as the same as the 2017 championships. If I'm correct Sikeston will win district 1 over Cape Central and defeat the over rated Hillsboro Hawks in sectional. This means a quarter final meeting with Vashon, Confluence or St. Mary's out of district 3 and 4.

The Sikeston Bulldogs will play a under dog role against St. Mary's and even odds against Confluence or Vashon.

Fred Thatch has been a starting all propose player for the Sikeston Bulldogs for the last four year. Fred has helped the Bulldogs win over a hundred games in a Bulldog uniform. Southeast Missouri may not see another player as talented as Fred Thatch in 20-30 years or more.

Can we name other players in Missouri history who have won a 100 games or more for his or her high school.

Webster Groves's Courtney Ramey may be in the 100 win club with Fred Thatch.

Vashon's Mario McKinney will join the 100 win club in 2019.

I hope to see Sikeston in the final four. They will have a tough quarterfinal game no matter who they play. Plus they usually bring a good crowd to the final four.

Charleston defeated Cape Central 61-55 in a rematch of the SE Missourian Christmas Tournament Championship that Cape Central won.

Bird12---It appears Charleston has a chance to play in Springfield this year. The competition will be Saxony in the sectional and Whitfield in the quarters. This an easy path to the final four compared to districts 5-8.

Class 3 district 6 @ Duchesne is the toughest district in class 3. My pick to win class 3 is Northwest Academy or Transportation Law. ( Defending class 3 state champions ) Transportation has played a pit bull schedule. Webster and St. Mary's defeated Transportation by 6 points.

Trinity, Northwest and Duchesne all have a chance to play in a sectional game and be favored.

Bird---It appears southeast Missouri has a chance to advance 4 classes to Springfield.

Class 1--Advance
Class 2--Oran
Class 3--Charleston
Class 4--Sikeston----Must defeat St. Mary's, Vashon or Confluence in the Quarters.
Class 5--This would be like winning the lottery for any Semo team to play in Springfield.
