Yeah I totally agree. I think broadcasting whatever is a game of interest each week would draw more viewers and ad revenue than whatever garbage NBC and some of those 12.4 channels are spewing out during that time frame and the schools and kids would absolutely love it.
You'd have some weeks where it's impossible to decide between WC/Joplin or Seneca/Lamar and some weeks where there aren't any obvious games to cover. Yea some of the logistics may be challenging but I think it could totally be done. Kind of how that Next Level group does their schedule and game of the week except actually do a good professional job of it and put it out over the air.
You wouldn't have to make a tough decision which game to broadcast if you did both ... put the metro game of the week on one station (KODE or KSNF/KOAM or KFJX) and the area game of the week on the other station. I think it would absolutely work and which ever station opts to start doing it, the advertising revenue could be significant if done right.
