Home of the Cubs!!
After talking to many young people I am beginning to wonder if our public schools are letting us down. Just so crazy that we are not teaching such basic things in our schools.
When talking to many young kids and even middle age adults they have no clue as to how our election process works or the electoral college, they just repeat what the leaders of thier political affiliation say. Just so dang frustrating...

It's being taught in American Government class. Anybody's guess how many actual are learning it.

but is that just a history option you can take? Or is it actually required to graduate high school?
We need whoever is president in January to bring in all the governors, secretaries of state and ag's and county officials and tell them get their crap together and agree on a way for national elections to be handled and stop this craziness every election with different rules and timelines for votes to be received and counted.

It is required by all students who graduate. There is a state test they are required to take (not necessarily pass) but schools are scored on it. They are also required to pass a US constitution test, but the test is whatever the social studies teacher wants that one to be.

Yep, I remember we always had a couple seniors still trying to pass the US Constitution test the last few weeks of school.

Social studies/government/politics are boring to most teenagers. Most will try to memorize just enough of their study guide to pass the test and class.

I'm sure they teach the kids that if your are behind sue everybody in sight in order to screw the electorate. Trump must have missed his civics class.

Yes and he conceded when he could have kept up the fight. Florida was even in the ballpark with what's going on this week. EVERYONE was told this is exactly how the vote counting would go and that it would take a long time, and that's before they found out we would have a record high turnout.

So this is the topic Bullit chooses to distract you with to ease his Trump loving pain? Bahahahahaha

I love seeing Trump supporters CRY, it's my daily medicine, my weekly energy, my monthly inspiration and my yearly motivation. Their loss is the only reason I’m still alive, I was born to love and enjoy the failure that they have achieved.

Okay....I don't really believe I have any Trump loving pain...Hell you don't even know who I voted for do you.

This post came down to the stupid post I see from people on Social media claiming fraud, sorry I am just so over the fraud and this is not fair crap I don't care if I supported Trump or Biden I know how our system works and I think this is important enough that our kids should know too.

Pal, after four years of watching the human train wreck lie to us you were still undecided who to vote for. Disgusting. You have been defending this arse clown for years. You ain’t fooling anyone.

You still think he brought back thousands of manufacturing jobs, which he didn’t. He didn’t create coal jobs, save the American steelworkers, open up auto plants in Michigan, nor have Mexico pay for the wall. But he says he did. We paid for the wall. We paid for the tariffs. The longest streak of consecutive job growth ended during Trump’s four years because he ignored a pandemic and we entered a recession BEFORE covid hit. All of his gains are short term. He has made no significant moves to set us up for long term dominance in the world.

Listen Steve, I don't defend Trump, he is an idiot and blow hard he cares more about his image than anything else even his family. However I do like his policies but that is not defending him, I think had he not been such an arrogant self centered SOB he could have really been a pretty good President, but most of the time he couldn't get out of his own way and killed a lot of things that would have easily got him elected to a second term.

But on the other hand we had Biden I want you to really look at the things he support in his 47 years of office really look at Biden's record..... do you really believe it was an easy decision between two horrible candidates.....whatever

This is typical of libs nowadays. ANY reasonable statement is laughed and scoffed at.
In high school I learned about the electoral college and how it worked. Today, if taught, it would be taught how unfair it is. There are many things like the reason each state gets 2 Senators but varying amounts of representatives could also be taught or taught better. Been a LONG time since I was in school so I don't know if these things aren't taught.

Typical conservative nowadays. You admittedly say you don't know how things are being taught today, BUT YOU CLAIM TO KNOW FOR CERTAIN that "if taught, it (the electoral college) would be taught how unfair it is."

You don't know squat about education and what teachers are teaching. If you are truly concerned, contact one of your local high school social studies teachers and ask them if they are teaching the reasons for using the electoral college. But it is much easier to BASH all teachers to fit your narrative. You don't know what the hell you're babbling about.

That is my opinion not a statement that I am certain.
I AM CERTAIN there is much deception involved in this vote counting though.
I see you still believe the people counting the votes are willing to go jail for fraud. EVERYTHING they see and touch will be preserved for any recounts or audits that would prove they cheated. I assume you do know many of the states where Trump his losing are run by republicans.

I know enough things that ARE being taught to know the general thought process.
Now, if not a coward, show where I said I "KNOW FOR CERTAIN" anything.
That is not a declaration of your knowledge?
If it was not a certain thought it would not be as declarative.

Typical conservative nowadays.
Let's not call him typical. There are good honest thoughtful conservatives. The last 2 days I have seen many conservatives who want the best for our country and everyone. That are ready to accept the outcome and not full of conspiracy.
We are better than to demonize everyone based on the small.

Drama King Con Man Donnie has orchestrated this entire latest chapter of his reality TV show presidency. Of course, his tribe has swallowed the hook. He announced his intentions of contesting the election if he lost in every campaign speech for the past 3 months (repeat the lie often enough and it will become truth) . There were only 2 options - he wins the election or it was a fraudulent vote count. He fully intends to put the election in the hands of the republican dominated Supreme Court with his hand picked new members.

This is all the Grand Finale chapter in "President Donald Trump Reality TV Show"!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a Rep, a Dem, and an Independent at vote counting station across America, many who voted for trump. Every vote counter interviewed, including Rep, have stated that they have not witnessed any improprieties in the process. Rep state attorney generals from those contested states have said there has been no issues. Both parties are counting the votes, they don't need a bunch of trump lawyers causing disruptions. It will all be documented for review.

Whatever!! Your argument is for naught!! Biden's total electoral count is going to be high enough that one state isn't going to make a difference.

Miller, at least you have the courage to get on here and face the other side's wrath. Tip of the hat for that!! But the voter fraud conspiracy has been scripted for months straight out of the trump playbook.
