The Lone Jack Mules look forward to the
2011-2012 season with a roster filled with
returning talent. Following a 19-8
campaign, the Mules open with the No. 5 ranking
in Missouri Class 2. Senior laden with
several four year varsity letterman the Mules
head coach Justin Smith is excited about the
prospects of this years team.
"We return 99 percent of our scoring and
rebounding from last year, as long as we
continue to grow as a team and stay healthy we
hope to have a good year", commented Smith.
6-foot-3 senior forward Bryan Moore returns, he
led the club with 16 points per game a season
ago. 6-foot-8 inch senior center Jake Suhr
and 6-foot senior Skylar Overlander each return
after averaging 12 points per game. The
high scoring Mules also return senior Christian
Phelps (6-1), senior Connor Livingston (6-1),
and senior Joey Rains (5-8) who contributed 15
points per game.
The Mules have been building for this season
throughout their high school career, improving
each season. "The expectations around the team
are very high and they have put a lot of work in
this summer and early this season into making
themselves ready for this season", added Smith.
