Now that the break is over this is my only prediction
The Birds will not get to 10 over and I will not be back until the end of the year to say I told you so!!!!
Sure hope I eat crow

I don't know what any of the players will do the rest of the way but I also don't know what you guys want from Holliday. He's on pace for 25-30 HR's, something most of you want more of all the time. Nobody thought he would be better defensively than in the in the past but he just might be. 7 games out in July ain't no hill for a stepper. The Cubs have shown they're mortal, we'll see what they do when we get to September if either the Birds or Pirates mount a challenge. My prediction? In the Words of Clubber Lang in Rocky 3, "Pain".
Diaz will not hit .318
Moss won't hit 15 more HRs
Wong will continue to act like a 13 year old, celebrating his good plays and pouting over every mistake.
Holliday will get older every day.
Pham will be scratched from the lineup with a paper cut or hang nail.
The Cardinals will have a room filled to the ceiling with the money they have saved.
I will keep watching.

You can tell he is struggling mentally with it too. Really seems to be getting to him. But look no further than the boss in the dugout for a reason they lost. Rosie in that spot? C'mon man! They were asking tonight why the cards lose at home this year. Our #3 hitter and team leader is hitting .175 at home and .315 on the road. Period. .175!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What have you seen that makes you think Diaz won't keep hitting? My prediction? In the Words of Clubber Lang in Rocky 3, "Pain".

Me too. I also hope some of the veteran players knock a knot on Pham's head. What the heck was he thinkin NOT sliding into 2nd on that double? He could have screwed up the whole comeback thang if he got thrown out because he slowed or if he had come off the bag. It's not easy to maintain that pace for 162 games. I sure hope he does.

The TV guys said Matheny said he would have to have a conversation with Pham about sliding at 2nd base. I just get the idea there's some attitude goin on with him. The thing with the newspaper article the other about the HP plate ump the previous night probably didn't set too well in the clubhouse either. He has been shaky the last few days.
I've always thought he played with a bit of an edge/chip/flare. Not necessarily a bad thing either. But gotta slide and can't make those comments to the press. Those are no-no's. I like the way he plays. Maybe not when he's holding his hat in one hand to shield the sun while catching a fly ball.
