Seating at Districts?

What happens when districts are held in a location that will not hold the number of fans that will come? Do they give out a certain amount of tickets to each school? Just curious this could happen at Helias if Helias and Rolla play for the district title like last year? Just wondering if there is a policy in place for seating issues?

I've been places that cleared the gym after each game.

Have been to a few districts that had overflow crowds, even at big schools with large gyms. Different hosts do it differently. But, I have never seen them allot so many tickets to each school. Your best bet will be to get there early, even if your team does not play until its late.

First come first serve. I doubt there will ba as many as the Helias/Jeff City game last year and they managed!

I do not think it will be first come first serve. Too many would try and get there early for seat causing problems for games prior. Tickets will have to be allocated equally. That is if both teams makes it to the Finals (Helias vs. Rolla). The gym would have to be cleared prior to the final game of the evening. The tickets would be sold in advance I assume.

Never have seen them allocate so many tickets to each school. Always first come first served. Been to some that had to wait for doors to open and then sit until teams arrived. When my son was a senior they walked off of bus for district championship to a full house already in the seats. Teams could have chosen site with adequate seating but didn't want to give the #1 seed home court advantage.

I has been awhile since I have seen so many mid-Missouri venues filling up with high school basketball fans. Of course we have the Porter's brothers in the area along with some pretty good teams. The Great 8 Tournament crowd was amazing. Just watching the news, there have been some really nice crowds at a lot of venues.

would be shocked to see any kind of allocated tickets per school. Even in times when everyone would not be able to fit in it has been first come first serve everywhere I have been. Some places have the finals for boys and girls on different nights to help with that. But on occasion when they play the same night, its not uncommon for folks to have to wait and hope some people leave. Now that schools in the district vote on where to hold the tournament the is USUALLY not an excuse to hold in at a venue that is too small.

The venue is not that small, but a lot of people want to see the Helias vs. Rolla rematch. Both crowds show up wherever the game is played.

If Rolla and Helias meet there will not be enough room. Do they ever change venues or just deal with people not being able to get in?

It is small for class 4 school and to be farely new!
When the gym was new Helias was class 3. The finals did not even include Helias and several hundred were turned away from a class 3 final. Only rational thing to do is play ladies one night and men the next and I still doubt it will hold the crowd per reports on here.
