Top…Slaps is money! Two years we were up there I’d go the first Thursday of the NCAAs and get an insane amount of que and just eat myself stupid during the first two rounds. Had to get there early!
I believe I created an account back in 2000-2001 school year went by Respect4SWMO. Changed it to Outashape not long after because I remember using a quote at the bottom of each post from Animal House “fat, drunk and stupid and no way to go through life …”

Today, there are no secrets anymore which is why I chose to just simply use my name on my account, I’m too old anymore to stir the pot or talk trash. Just here for the sports conversations and help on the sports research projects I have in progress.

YOU, sir, are what we need here! I like the Doc Guys stuff but really like the SUBSTANTIVE stuff especially now that the new HSFB season is upon us. Looking forward to reading your takes etc. I am actually thinking about going transparent on who I am/what I look like but, in this day and age, discourage anyone from disclosing any private info you don't want the World and all it entails to see.

Also, I think it's best to be transparent about who we are. We Doc Guys literally use a picture of ourselves as our profile image.

Around '98 for me. Think 1st name was Sportsjunkie. Ton of memorable topics over the years, as well as personalities.
I've been around since probably 07. Didn't really start posting here until things started to die down on the old SCA forum. There's a lot of history on this forum, and it still stays relatively busy compared to other HS sports forums, but anyone who was around the SCA forum during it's heyday can tell you there's nothing quite like it once was. I miss that group dearly.
I remember that but never set up an account there it was definitely entertaining. NO way MOSports was gonna continue to corner the HSFB market but look at how many likes, views the threads still get. Sometimes you gotta filter thru the banter and occasional clashes to find it but there is a lot of good substance from very experienced folks in all facets of HSFB here!
I'll take this any day over the other social media outlets!
I remember when we were down at a high school newspaper conference in at the globe and both realized we were on the board and revealed our usernames to each other.
I’m still planning on coming to Adrian when you donate enough cash to rebuild the pressbox complete with a hospitality room.
And here’s an old gem for the old newspaper workshops hosted by the Globe:
“It’s called a pressbox because that’s where the media belong. I’ll start waking the sidelines when they put the players in the pressbox and change the name of the sidelines.”
I still prefer to cover/stat a game from the pressbox vs. the sideline. I know and have known sports writers who can do it and were really good at it, but for accuracy sake, give me the pressbox.
Maybe when MoSports added the Political Crap board... Democrats and Republicans ruin everything for normal, real Americans. Anyways, I started in 2001 as well, congratulating Jasper on a Class 1 baseball title. I taught in J-town back then. However, while the site has diminished some with nonsense, one can still usually get the initial scoop here on certain issues before it makes the news.
