6 teams in one district are sitting around twiddling our thumbs waiting for two 1-7 teams from st louis in other districts to play a saturday afternoon game before any of them can find out who they are playing. Absurd.
I actually like this system, but ALL the games have to be complete or you risk missing opponents record errors hence our wait.Meanwhile we're over here hoping there wasn't an error and that .12 stands strong for our seeding..........I am not a fan of this system.....
I like the extra two weeks before the playoffs start personally.Four team districts and the winner advances,,,,best system we ever had
Why do people have to try to fix stuff that isn't broken

How would you seed them? Only real complaint I have is the head to head exception. I can also see less weight applied to playing up multiple classes. It's the best system we've had so far IMO.
KC Saturday games aren't even over yet...its 3:43. still no score posted. for the love of chicken fried steak somebody do something!!!!
That's fine, I can respect that. Not any different than what we have now other than it starts two weeks later. For seeding this format the point system works. Couple of tweeks and it could be really good. There was nothing wrong with the 4 team district system. That was the most efficient system we had. You win, you advance, you didnt, you went home......

It was good and it gives more kids an opportunity to celebrate a district championship, the downside would come when you had a situation where say:
Class 6, District 1
Eureka 9-0
Lindbergh 8-1
Kirkwood 8-1
Lafayette 6-3
Class 6, District 2
Fox 5-4
Northwest Cedar Hill 4-5
Mehlville 2-7
Seckman 1-8
This type of thing happened a lot, which is why they changed things.

InLike the current system except the first round games between 1-8 2-7.
Don't know what coaches would think about having 1st round bye for #1 & #2 seeds.
Also maybe having a meaningless game between #7 & #8. Would probably be an enjoyable competitive game that would have meaning to those kids instead of being bashed in by #1 & #2 seeds.
what difference does it make??? Grab a big burger and a cold one and relaxI get this argument. But as of right now our "district" goes all the way down to Kennett and over to Salem. Not much of the "this is our territory" feel to it like it used to be. Either way it gets the best team out, that is the purpose.
I also get the idea behind a team not having anything to play for in week 10. Playing spoiler comes to mind....
Actually, it was not the winner advances. Many times 2-1 teams would advance out of a district. In the current format, if you lose in districts, you are done. This system is the only one that they have had where every team has a chance to prove it by winning and once you lose you are done. No other system has that. This is the best system we have had. That doesn't mean it is perfect.Four team districts and the winner advances,,,,best system we ever had

It happened a few times a year when 3 teams went 2-1 and each lost to one of the other. I remember times where 9-1 teams would stay home when they would beat a team with a worse record that advanced IN DISTRICTS.How often did a team that went 2-1 advance against a team that went 2-1 who beat team "1" head to head?

If one team beats another team in districts, that team advances, the other team doesn't. So no it can't happen where a team loses a district game to another team and advances. And that couldn't happen now? I mean I guess we get a second game right? So say team A beats team B first time. Then we get a rematch in a few weeks and Team A loses to team B. That solves what?
Ridiculous post from the get go. Please check the reality that Friday night games are dangerous at some locations. As per your political views, posters understand your idiocy. This is more evidence that you live in la la land.
I for many wasn't terribly surprised you are so sheltered and the ignorance to post a thread so out of touch. Be the fat, rich white trailblazer you are and read the news and understand why there are Sat games.
