In light of the whole CR mess, no one on here has said anything about the Roosevelt Coach getting fired. Seems on the surface like a good guy trying to truly give kids a chance. What happened?

Yea the Roosevelt story is a much more interesting thing for me. Pattonville is terrible this year after stringing together some solid years. The Roosevelt story strikes a nerve though.
If story holds true, at Roosevelt, the coach was having players check in on social media on weekends to be sure they were safe and home after so many shootings in St. Louis. Came down to celebrate with them from the stands after winning the conference last night I heard.
We had 7 on 7 with them two summers ago. He always seemed like a genuine guy that really cared about his kids and changing the atmoshphere at the school.

HE said he was fired for following students on social media. The PHL has not released why he was fired. I seriously doubt they would fire a successful coach who is apparently beloved for something as minor as that. The PHL is keeping mum but I wouldn't be surprised if it is something more serious. Schools get rid of people when it's the "last straw" and they are tired of the BS or if you've done something so bad they HAD to get rid of you.
Have you guys ever had a boss that becomes really vindictive if you call them out for a bad decision? That's what happened here. Here's what the guy did in the classroom.

Coach checks every box off the field and on the field. Its been many many years since Roosevelt has been competitive at football. Im sure he'll find a new spot next year easily
