Roman Empire Crumbles

AND 3-7 against Platte County. He is 2-2 against Minnick. 11-13 against teams ranked higher than 3,000 on calpreps. This is no ROMAN empire. This is Germania in 100 AD
It is a great program so is Platte County. Kearney is now officially eye to eye with both. Now to get Excelsior aboard the Highway 92 train...............

Excelsior is now officially a SOCCER town. Three consecutive final fours at state in soccer. The good athletes play soccer there. I know everyone reading this on this board will feel vomit come up a bit.

Smithville has what ? One state championship? Roman empire ? Seems to me like Kearney has a much better petigree although they have been just pretty good lately to average on some years . I think Smithville has been trending higher but they are like the 14-15 KC royals . Beat Kearney for a decade straight and I'll buy in

Legends in their own MINDS.

There is no such. There are definitely a few surprises out there but, by and large, the sleepers have been tucked into bed for the winter. Overlook anyone at this level it is bye bye birdie..............

9/8 277 Rush 5.9 ypc
11/10 86 Rush 2.8 ypc

But stats, what do they mean?

Hats of to the Bulldogs and Minnick and Co. They played a cleaner game, made big plays when they needed to, and got big stops in the red zone. Their senior heavy team did what they needed to to get it done so Smithville didn't finish their season for the 6th straight year. Minnick is still 2-3 against Ambro and Co. (Raytown included).

It does look as though Smithville will have their hands full in the future with Kearney. Should make for some more exciting Friday nights next fall!

On a side note I am always impressed by the size and look of some of these kids coming out of Kearney and PC. Jimmys and Joes EVERYWHERE! Makes Smithville's run even that much more impressive over the past several years.

Good luck to Kearney moving forward! I will definitely be following!

Slow your roll with the Kearney compliments. Don’t wanna get Joey too excited. He might ask you to take him to Chucky Cheese or something

That's better than the Marathon Gas station on Notch Road you take people to. Daily lottery tickets and cheap beer are no way to go through life, son.

Joey will be staring at himself in the mirror with his pants off all night.
