Rolla Jamboree

We finally get basketball back tomorrow night!

Four solid programs will be here in Rolla for the jamboree. Owensville, Licking, Fatima, and Rolla. Should be entertaining considering all four programs are completely different styles. Tons of talent will be here as well with Finely, Campbell, Libhart, Luebbering, etc.

Should be a good learning experience for all teams involved. I would predict that all four teams will have success this year from what I have seen during the summer and last year. I am excited to watch them all compete and excited that people will be allowed to watch. I agree there will be lots of good players playing all night long! Go bulldogs!

Biggest surprise: owensville. They looked like they were in great shape. They’re tough defensively and can shoot it. Beat Fatima by 1. Beat up licking. Lost to Rolla.

Biggest disappointment: looked like Fatima may have lost their post player to a knee injury in the first quarter of the first game. She did walk off but never came back in.

Rolla went 3-0 but was missing Libhart. Licking went 0-3 dealing with injuries. Owensville 2-1. Fatima 1-2.

Had a great crowd. Basketball is back!

I hope they didn't lose her, that is the worst possible outcome you could have. How did Owensville handle the size? Rolla could have special team.

They try to equalize things with lots of ball pressure. They were able to create easy baskets from their press. They might have some fouling issues when it comes to a regulation game though? They do play really hard and have good team speed. If a team has some height and can handle their pressure they might be in trouble.

Is Corley back for Rolla? Where was Libhart?

Rolla is yet another 2022 loaded team, like Miller and Blue Eye, that will be motivated to go deep in the playoffs while they have a shot.

Rolla has a large parent distraction problem that will cause them problems at some point in the season

Corley has not been released for contact yet. She is getting stronger everyday. Libhart will hopefully be back soon.

The parent situation just always seems to creep in with Rolla. Wish we could just leave it on the hardwood. I realize it is a dynamic but I am hoping that it can be left alone at some point.
