Rocket and Train, You guys have stated the " SEMO Conference " is one of the better conferences in Missouri.

If this is true, How can you explain class 1 Advance ( 108 students ) defeating Jackson 56-46 and Cape Central 60-46. Advance was defeated by Charleston 66-60 in the final of the Cape Christmas this year.

Rocket, Train and others, Could you explain the above? Advance's players must think they are Carl Ritter?

Jackson's record is--------9-4
Cape Central's record is--8-5
Advance record is----------11-3

Jackson had 4 players (3 starters) not available for that game. They were suspended for several games. They are back now....it would be a different story.

I didn't see the Cape game so I'm not sure about that one.

Small schools still have gyms with 10' high rims and free throw lines at 15 feet...maybe Advance has the Bootheel version of Jimmy Chitwood...no?

I heard there was an ADVANCE BARBER SHOP sign that reads: "Friday nite win...FREE Saturday trim!"

Actual game film of the "real-life" Hoosiers ...Milan HS vs Muncie Central, 1954 Indiana State Championship game with Bobby Plump as the real life Jimmy Chitwood :

Big school v little school just doesn't mean as much in basketball.

I bet Jackson's second five would have beaten Advance's second five handily...as would have Cape Central's.

Obviously the bigger schools are going to be better more times than not...unless it is Scott County Central....but in basketball..."size really doesn't matter".
