Thoughts and prayers for Coach Yanders, family and all the kids that he had an influence on. He did things the right way and for the right reasons. No doubt it is a tough loss for the basketball world.

Very sad. He did an outstanding job working with the youth.

I'm still pretty shocked this happened. He was in great shape, in better shape than probably 99% of people his age and most people younger than him, and he was one of the last people I would ever expect this to happen to.

But sometimes these heart things go undetected and/or come out of nowhere even if you're seemingly in good shape.

Genetics are cruel and unforgiving sometimes...Had a doc tell me that once. Hard to imagine there was much else it could be. I'm fully convinced undetected things like heart issues and sleep apnea (mixed with sleep aids) are responsible for a ton of these deaths in people that are young and in good physical condition.
