Probably not as good as it is in SWMO.How’s Incarnate Academy’s recruiting class looking this off season?
Hands down….I am not familiar with the area so wanted some insight on girls going their for “educational purposes”.Historically IWA has the best recruiting in Missouri.
Humble was their only all state player. You are saying she transferred to Strafford? In a surprise to no one.....Strafford got an all state transfer from Sparta for educational purposes.
Yes, her parents moved. There was some issues at Sparta with her and her teammates/parents. Bolted for greener pastures.Humble was their only all state player. You are saying she transferred to Strafford?
We can't if the game is the state championship game.Swmo schools should stop playing them.
Chittenden 2017-2018I would have to say I doubt the 3 in 5 comment but maybe. It is what it is. If MSHSAA allows it there is no reason to worry about it. Must be nice.
What wouldn’t be on the up and up??? Is it hard for you to believe that transfers are made by the rules??I am sure everything is on the up and up at Strafford. *cough cough*
Touch a nerve? Is your kid a strafford transfer? LOLWhat wouldn’t be on the up and up??? Is it hard for you to believe that transfers are made by the rules??
No my kids are past the age for high school basketball. Just someone who has been around the high school sports scene for awhile and understands how the game works on and off the court. Sure technically speaking in the big picture Strafford did nothing wrong. But we both know there is a whole different scene that goes on, one where people do anything that is needed to get that next player. Certain schools and coaches develop reputations for such activities. Strafford is now securely on that list. If you choose to ignore such realities then that is on you and does not make me a hater. No and no. You eluded that Strafford did something against the rules. You want to elaborate or are you just another hater? Is your kid on a team that can’t beat Strafford?........
So, did the school or coach offer something to convince a transfer to move? I’ve been around too and it seems many want to pile on Strafford because they win. Countless other schools in sw mo have had transfers. Some have won, some havent , but because Strafford has been dominant, they get the criticism. If you build it, they will come right? 3 transfers in 5 years is hardly cause for jealousy, resentment- whatever it is. I can give you a list of schools that have had more transfers than that but they didn’t win. Maybe Strafford and the kids there know how to win??? Maybe programs in the area should just get better.... get better coaches.....? Plenty of larger schools around that have pathetic records year after year. My kids would have loved to have better coaches who knew how to win. Politics is a bitch. No my kids are past the age for high school basketball. CM, seldom do I find myself agreeing totally with part of a post and disagreeing with another part. First, I do agree and I do admire those very talented kids who remain with their programs and work and compete hard and continue to improve their skill sets through lean years when, in some cases, they could have moved to greener pastures. Secondly, however, scapegoating MSHSAA for allowing (programs) to be created at many schools in many sports amuses me because you, me and all other patrons of all school districts are MSHSAA. But for us, collectively, MSHSAA does not exist. Now, I will be the first to admit that some of the decisions that our elected representatives to the governing body and some of the decisions that employees of the organization make are head-scratchers. Nevertheless, they are us by delegation until we replace them. It is also noteworthy that many of their decisions are guided, even mandated, by federal and state laws because of the money trail. In other words, local control is becoming more and more limited. I will continue this rant in a later post. By the way, I respect your opinion but I do think an honest and open debate leads to the best way to achieve change.it’s always mind blowing to me that people will go tho such great lengths for their kid to be on a “better” team or play for a “better” coach. If I looked for another job every time things didn’t go my way, I would be working at a new place weekly if not more. I’m more impressed by good players who stay through the lean years and make their team better than people expected them to be. I guess many players now have the NBA mentality. I’m not mad at Strafford, it’s what MSHSAA has allowed to be created at many schools in many sports.
Christian Kirk transferring FZN back to KickapooJust curious, but does anyone know when was the last time MSHSAA refused a transfer?
I was wondering if that was the last time.Christian Kirk transferring FZN back to Kickapoo
No kidding. I personally know of 5 from last year. One was a JV kid transferring from NCA to Willard. There are dozens and dozens every year. All the family has to do is go to MSHSAA first and they’ll slide it through. It’s not difficult if you play the game. How would most really know when the last one was for the entire state? It’s not as though MSHSAA posts this information 🤷
