Not your poll, but I included most of your whiny ass excuses. Surely you can choose one from the list.
Put all your private schools in one class doofus.
Then talk about watering down.
What is winning? If a team goes 5-5 this year and was 3-27 the last 3 years combined, Isn't that winning?

According to Rufus only 1 team out of the 64 in your class is any good. The other 63 administrations/school boards/athletic departments/coaching staffs/players aren’t committed/they suck.
If a team wins 8 or 9 district titles over a 15 year period their staff is nothing special until they finish number 1. Rufus knows.

I'm not about to stop anybody from trying to achieve mediocrity, if they've got their mind set on it.

Where is honesty? The football staff and players have always been horrible at recruiting the halls in the off-season. Then the staff and parents don't put much more than the bare minimum besides having summer workouts and such. Don't take the kids to camps or host stuff like that to give the kids a chance to compete in the summer despite being a school with plenty of facility resources.
But if it's baseball you better be sure parents are putting in an effort to put their kids on travel teams and send them to big camps. Heaven forbid we actually make an attempt to better the football program and put it on a path towards winning. The school has so many potential athletes walking the halls that never come out or don't play a fall sport. If you have basketball players who don't play soccer or run XC in the fall then a lot of those kids could be fantastic contributors to the receiving corps. Also should be able to have an actual football player know how to kick in a class 5 school instead of going and borrowing a soccer player for those duties.
