Fake news. It has been explained to you multiple times by me and others, yet you are either too dumb or too stubborn to understand.
You have explained NOTHING about how this makes things better for the class 1 and 2 schools.

For about the sixth time. There are now no more districts with only 1 or 2 schools in it. In the past there were districts with just a couple teams. A couple years ago there was a district with 2 teams and both teams were horrible. one of those teams got a district championship. That is not good in any way.

There are 553 Boys basketball teams in MO.
There are 522 Girls basketball teams in MO

The biggest 64 are Class 6 the next biggest 64 is Class 5.

What Class your boys are in have nothing to do with what Class your girls are in. P.B girls have always been one of the largest 64 girls programs in MO. P.B boys are NOT one of the largest 64 boys programs in the state.

The way they do it now is an improvement and the fairest way to do it.

So they DID get bumped a class whether you call it that or not. It has no bearing on how they do come playoff time but it is weird. The girls are currently 2 and 8 and playing in the Twins Rivers small school tournament in the losers bracket. NONE of what I've said is a complaint about what district they will play in, they have a long way to go to be competitive in a district tournament anywhere. Hopefully they can return to the level they used to be but it's gonna be a while.

Bumped where? They have always been in the largest class in the state. Classes are based off your actual high school enrollment.

They were in class 5 now they're in class if that ain't up I don't what you call it. If they only go by enrollment boys and girls at the same school would be in the same class.

Ftballfan laid it out here perfectly. The number of schools playing boys and girls is not the same.

It has been explained over and over and over.

you just refuse to accept it

I assume that is not something that just happened this year and our boys and girls have always been in the SAME class. You guys seem to refuse to accept that it DID change THIS year! They do it different now and that's fine but it is no longer based only on enrollment numbers like ftballfan16 said or they would be in the same class. I'll drop it since YOU don't have the good sense to get what I'm saying about it.

Actually it did not change this year. It changed last year. And it is very much still based on enrollment numbers. You cannot seem to grasp that the fact that there are different numbers of boys and girls teams in the state impact this.

And yes we are the ones who do not have the SENSE to understand this....

I am not sure why I am doing this, I guess I am just a glutton for punishment, but here is more

The enrollment break for class 5 to class 6 this year is 1074 for boys and 1060 for girls per MSHSAA website.

Popular Bluffs enrollment number for this year is 1062.

The result is boys being in class 5 and girls being in class 6.

See how simple that is?

The enrollment break is different again because there are different numbers of teams in boys basketball and girls basketball.

Things like this is the precipitating reason behind the change. Scott County was awarded the district title at 3-13 and then lost to Delta by 97 in the sectional championship. This was in 2020

They have been class 6 for several years now. Your Class is based on your enrollment numbers. They have been one of the top 64 biggest schools in the state for decade's. That is why they have been in the largest Class. All the information including enrollment numbers and enrollment breaks are on the MSHSAA website.

Private schools getting moved up because of Championship factor has alot to do with it also.

Look at it this way. Your girls did not get bumped up. It was your boys team that got bumped down.
