The Birds are bringing up Cabrera, their #8 prospect, a hard throwing lefty that has a 6.36 ERA over 8 appearances with 6 starts. You know your pitching staff has issues when they call up a guy with a 6+ ERA to jump into the rotation.

Dan and Ricky will go on and on about how good his "stuff" is.

Admittedly I haven't watched much lately but it appears Shildt fixed the lead off spot too. Got Marp out of the way so Fowler could promptly go 0-10 with 5 Ks in the last 3. Lol.

Literally, nothing is going right. Teams up by 3 runs going into the 9th were something like a bazillion and 2 going into Sundays game. The birds made it 3.

Me thinks Mo might be trying to justify the Pham trade with this move. Trading away your best OF'er, all while your OF sucks, is a bad look. Especially when you got squat in return.

Remember when some people thought Pham was "too" intense. We dont appear to have that problem with any of our players any more.

What the heck has happened to Wacha? The guys said when he came in last night he just needed to go out there and be very good and make his case for returning to the rotation. I reckon that ain't what happened for him. That was about as bad as it can get for the time he was out there. He was so bad they couldn't even leave him out to take one for the team and eat some innings. :(

I think someone said he was the first STL pitcher to give up 3 bombs in an inning in 14 years.

I’m certainly no expert, but I think his location stinks and his fastball has lost zip. When he was really good, he was basically fastball/change. Occasionally a hook, but it seemed just for show. I feel he tried to develop a cutter and throw the curve more. Not sure either have really helped him.
