Heard a rumor that next cycle all Private Schools will move up a class in every sport. Is this true and if so why? What is going on? Can Private Schools in 8 man football stay 8 man? I am perplexed as I enjoy seeing the unfair advantage Private Schools have over Public Schools. Someone please help clarify!

Won't happen.. Someone's pulling your leg

If that is the case, there will be a small number of class 7 schools playing each other for the state title! LOL....

I would love to lump all the private schools together...have at it...it's like a socialist state competing against a capitalist...no comparison. But, yeah someone is just trying to get us all amped up :)

Ya its pretty amazing how many private schools make it to the final 4 in each class every year.... wait a minute...

Let all the snotty turds congregate in a school closest to religious freedom and wealth. It gives us commoners a goal to shoot for. So what. Bring it on.

I guess I wouldn't be surprised if Lamar rolls to the title because history tell us they will. There is no denying how good they are.

But I have have seen both teams play this year...and if there is a Class 2 team out there that can possibly hang with Lamar...it's Trinity.

If Trinity has all their players back (hurt RB and suspended WR)...and IF (and this is a big IF)...they can play a clean game as far as turnovers and major mistakes...that could actually be a ball game.

I wouldn't have said so after seeing Lamar crush Valle...but after seeing Trinity "on-the-hoof" vs. Lutheran North...yeah, I'd say there is a chance.

I didn't see anything that I would call Impressive against Lutheran north. Couple fast guys and a couple big guys. everyone once in awhile the stars aligned just right and they broke a big play. But as far as producing consistently and controlling the game, not a chance.

But that Lutheran North team was mega talented as well....don't you think? And I have to think that playing tougher opponents these past two weeks might have elevated Trinity's game just a little bit...no?

And Trinity doesn't just have a "couple of fast guys"...their whole team and especially their defense has incredible team speed.

The overall team speed is the thing that really stood out to me...covers up for a lot of mistakes on the defensive side of the ball...and always a threat to make a big play or go the distance on offensive or kick returns.

I get what you're saying, but a lot of people thought Lutheran North was super talented last year, until they traveled to southwest Missouri. I think it's just a different level of competition. I hope it's Lamar and trinity in the championship and that it's a good game. Not looking past Brentwood for now tho

I'm not saying they're not good or not talented. I just think they're not on the same level as Lamar.

Lamar will be short handed and will lose

Lamar could most definitely lose, but if so I don't think it will be because they are short handed.

No way Lamar loses to Trinity. Trinity is very talented but makes a ton of mistakes. They are
very undisciplined on defense which means Lamar super offensive scheme will kill
Trinity. Brent wood will get beat like a drum this Sat by Lamar. Saw them play they are decent but
have 25 kids on the team and no depth.
