Preseason Top 10

Chillicothe had a good year last year at 9-2, losses at Maryville and at Richmond. Lost a ton of starters but has a very talented Senior class ready to step up. The overall numbers are a little low, but the quality is there, with several sons of head and assistant coaches in this class. Two good tackles return including one in his 4th year as a starter, and return a 1,000 yard rusher. Will have to watch out for injuries. I appreciate the love for the Hornets at #4, but as always a big test is in week three at home vs Maryville.

Agree they could be good, having Carson in the D Line will be tough for a lot of teams to handle at that class. But they lost so much on Offense, as well as a great Coach in Coach Horn. That will be a lot to replace.
WC schedule goes OP, Ruskin, Truman, GV, RS, *Staley, NKC, *Fort, Tonka.
Staley schedule goes LN, BSS, BS, Kearney, PC....along with Conf games.
I like WC chances.

I think Class 3 is there for another off-the-pace team to win it. In NWMO, along with Chilli and Maryville, I look for Center, Richmond and Oak Grove to contend for a berth in the title game in Columbia.

With all due respect Kearney lost more than that last year and went back to the title game. I forget his name but I believe #7 for HVille is back and he was very impressive in the aforementioned in Springfield last November.
Kearney has a bigger talent pool of students sitting up in the top size of Class 4. H has 33% less in student body. I don't see it. Not by any means saying they won't be top 10.

Richmond has some great skill kids coming back. I talked with a few Richmond people at Chillicothe's 7 on 7 tournament and they were a little concerned with the turn out of lineman at the Spartan summer camp. Time will tell! with Maryville, Richmond and Chillicothe in the same district again, could be some good games there.

Does anyone know who will be Kearney's QB? If the Dogs miss Jones offensively THAT will be the position where it shows the most in my opinion.

Heard Liberty backup from last year transferred in.
We have so many folks moving into this town I wouldn't be surprised (happened last year too). This almost 100 percent has to be K's last year in Class 4.

For you guys that appreciate information on KC area teams. Having seen William Chrisman up close and personal, competing against some formidable programs, WC certainly passes the eye test. I came away from one scrimmage particularly impressed with their up front personnel. I think they're really darn good and for pre-season ranking rumors, they should be in the conversation as a top 10 contender.
Are they still top 10 contenders?

Class 6 love Blue Springs in this area this year (#1 in metro most likely). Class 5 Fort O and Liberty have elite RBs back (Iloilo and Rawie). Game of the year mark it down will be Liberty-Liberty North. Class 4 big unknowns in this area but I still lean toward Platte County IF IF they can get over the Kearney hump. Another one other side of the state to watch you have is Ladue Horton Watkins. Very impressed with them last year and many stars are back. Class 3 hope you are right about Chilli. Have a feeling this is the year the MEC could start to catch Maryville. Class 2 the train rolls on. Class 1 looks about right but Valle likely will be playing with a big chip on their shoulders. Just 24 days to go!!!!!
I don't think the Liberty/Liberty North game was the game of the year. 42-7 isn't much of a game

Hellofabump.

Let's also include a couple that hit the mark and caught my eye...

I'm hearing that this could be Ava's year to break out in the SCA.

People were really off on expecting Oak Grove and Richmond to be good.
