BP went with the chalk on Webb and Joplin. I'm thinking without spreads, he's gonna have a good chance to be right.

I Didnt realize I went chalk smh disgusting.

I really feel like St Mary's Chaminade and Eureka could upset.

But Im not seeing the Camdenton hype. Webb City more likely to win that game by 4 touchdowns than to lose to me

OK I will bite................Glendale almost beat Camdenton so am thinking their game vs. Carthage may be much closer than you have here. Now here is a SERIOUS question for Springfield folks: Was non-MSHSAA Lighthouse SR the best team in that area this year?

Carthage's running attack and Glendale's passing attack *could be* influenced, positively and negatively, respectfully, by cold and precipitation.

Latest weather info indicates precip may be mostly out of the equation by kickoff, though.

Glendale also lost to WP who had trouble with Neosho.

Carthage will have no problem scoring on pretty much every drive and their pass D has been fairly good this season. One of the best dbacks will be playing somewhat hurt this week but there's no reason it should be close...however, Carthage likes to choke in bigger games so who knows.

Carthage's qb is ridiculously accurate on deep balls...they aren't one dimensional when the coach lets them not be.

Idk why Carthage doesn't use #87 more in the passing game ? He's 6'7" and pretty darn athletic . I know they throw it to him some but he's seems underutilized to me

Unfortunately, playing good pass defense doesn't mean much when you face glendale, because it's completely different than any passing attack you've seen this year (although camdenton's is similar). I do think it's a close-ish game but Carthage wins

Carthage has been to 3 semifinal games in the last 4 years. I believe they got beat by Chaminade in 2015, Staley in 2017, and Vianney in 2018. Which game do you feel like they should have won?

How is it different?

I predict a fat kid named Tony in New York City will eat an entire pizza tonight. Not only that, it will have sausage and onions. Because I know as much about Tony and NY city as most of you know about Farmington and St Mary’s and yet you predict an exact score. Let’s all waste time together.

This not the prediction the site wants, but the one it needs

Just chiming in here but I don't think there is any of those 3 they 'should' have won. They were outgunned by Chaminade and WAY outgunned by Staley. I do think they could have beat Vianney last year but some very expensive turnovers put them in a bad spot which they could not recover from against a solid opponent.

There was an interesting article in the Globe about Carthage and Glendale just to the effect that Glendale's offense is unlike any COC team it may be more of a game than some expect depending on how the Carthage D is able to cover it.

I predict you won't recognize your mom after she shaves her back.

I have seen Farmington 4 times this year and I have read up on St Mary’s. I am going to the game tonight and still have no clue what will happen. How you others know the exact score is amazing. If St Mary’s has not seen the flexbone this year, they might be in big trouble. On the other hand St Mary’s throws a ton.

Carthage with about 10 sacks and 2 ints in the first half. Glendale's coach was tossed and like I already said, zero answer for Carthage's O-line.
Up 34-12

I didn't say I felt like they should've won any of them. Staley (who would've beaten Webb that year) and Chaminade were just better and Carthage had no answer for Percy Mitchell (yes, not Kyren) and fumbled too much.

This is why it is so hard to gauge teams who literally don't play outside their conference until the District playoffs................clearly the OC top teams are not near the level of the COC this year. Another reason why I wish larger conferences would divide into divisions and play outside competition.

I wish the COC would do this. It's so difficult to know how good any of those teams are until the season is over basically. Plus I miss Webb playing some of the crazy games with larger schools.

Eureka had one of the best defenses in the state, rivaled by Jackson. What can anyone do to impress anyone anymore?
The Staley-Raytown winner better strap it up. As of tonight this will be my in-person game tomorrow.

And the winner hosts Jackson, so they'll have that going for them.
Both teams have some high quality athletes....................but, like Ray-Pec tomorrow, do they have enough of them?

said all that needed to be heard. “Interesting article in the globe”!! It must’ve been about a dead man in a freezer or a cat stuck in a tree. It definitely could not have been anything informative about sports.

o ok. I guess when you said they choked in big games I just figured that's what you meant. The other big games they've had i guess would be the district championship games and they've won their last 6 of those.
