Politicians don’t understand the big issue with health care

What they don’t say is how long you have wait to see your doctor? I have a cousin that lives in Canada and she had to wait 2 months to see her doctor for her problem.
No wait in america when you cant afford it

I have a bro in law who lives in Missouri and he has had to wait 4 months to get surgery he needs to drive and return to work. But that’s a nice anecdote.

I saw on news recently out of pocket costs have one up 52% since 2012. They keep raising the ceiling each year with deductibles and out of pocket limits.

The entire healthcare industries are the #1 drain on our economy. And the #1 financial worry for the majority of American families. It doesn't have to be that way.

We could have had a serious discussion of the actual subject matter. A lot of specific info in this article most of us didn’t know.

And what do we get instead

I have a cousin in Canada—irrelevant.

Germany sucks too—irrelevant

Not going to read it because of the
company who tweeted the link—open
minded?

A professor did the research so he has to
be a liberal, which I suppose means he
couldn’t possibly have found something
important.

Brilliant comment about student loan debt—
completely irrelevant.

As usual a missed opportunity to learn.
I take people off ignore hoping that things are better and we can’t even discuss an article that impacts every single person on this board.

I read the article, what would you like to discuss? This is your thread, by all means, directi the conversation.

Can't promise I'll give a response you want, but I fail to see a question, just posting an article won't necessarily lead to meaningful conversation because I have no idea what YOUR point is.

I don't trust any proposals by the government.
Ok, you want to eliminate lobbyists and special interest groups. That's a back door to eliminating Freedom of Speech. All liberal schemes are a power grab and freedom killers. I wouldn't be surprised if a health care plan the radicals propose will ban guns and fund the green new deal.
Germany does stink, and so does Canada.

Cheer up. The last 5 minutes of this show is going to be hilarious.

I hear ya, Ducky. You can't have a decent debate with Trumpers. They can only start spewing hate and regurgitate Fox talking points that have nothing to do with the topic.

Limit lobbyists and special interest groups donations to politicians to $1,000. Prevent politicians leaving office from being lobbyists for at least 2 years.

I have heard both good and bad from people in countries with nationalized healthcare.

The jury is still out on Obamacare, no matter how loud the pubs scream.
What healthcare plan has Trump proposed? Remember his campaign promise - repeal Obamacare and Trump had a great plan that everyone was going to love? At least Obama and Dems are trying to do something. I don't see Reps doing a thing on healthcare. Why not continue to improve Obamacare?

Sanders and Warren cannot win the election on universal public healthcare without the private options. The American people don't want a system crammed down their throats. They want the private option, too. Klobuchar has tried to tell the other candidates that Dems cannot win the election with the public option only, and she is right!!

"Spewing hate"...please show any examples of me (or anyone else) spewing hate. If it's such a common occurrence, shouldn't be hard to find examples.

I'd argue the liberals are actually the hateful ones on this board.

Oh Lord, give us a break with puttering over healthcare. Your party allows foreigners to rig our elections. Special interest groups are here illegally in all of our sacred, solemn, serious elections. California and New York would vote for a bag of poo if it has a D next to it on the ballot.

The hymn to the welfare state...author anonymous

"The Government is my shepherd,
Therefore, I need not work.
It alloweth me to lie down on a good job.
It leadeth me beside still factories
It destroyeth my initiative.
It leadeth me in the path
of a parasite for politic's sake.

Yea, though I walk through then valley of laziness and deficit-spending,
I will fear no evil, for the Government is with me.
It prepareth an economic Utopia for me, by appropriating the earnings of my own grandchildren.
It filleth my head with false security;
My inefficiency runneth over.
Surely the Government should care for me all the days of my life!
And I shall well in a fool's paradise for ever"

-Things I will note:
1.This is what conservatives see happening in our world around us.
2. Deficit spending isn't just a liberal problem..it's a government problem (eating free off our taxes)
3. The healthcare industry is wicked greedy. I don't know what to do about it either...I don't think allowing the government more opportunities to be inefficient and lazy is a good plan though.

Libs on the board...can you refute the reality of what you see in this poem?

Most of the bankruptcy data reports are bogus. Anyone that has medical Bills is not bankrupt but this is the standard set by some people that write columns in NYT regarding this issue. Fake news is beeotch.
