K-town needs to play better than they did last week or they are in trouble. Gray will have them ready to play and they pull this one out. 35-31 Dogs

Platte County (unless they have had injuries) too explosive on offense and their defense has flown under the radar. They have some good players.

Having seen both play twice, I'd have to go with PC. That being said, PC has to get past who they are playing and believe they can beat Kearney. I think PC was better than them last year but Kearney just knew how to win. Hoping for a good game.

If Kearney's offense can't keep scoring, they lose--and possibly by 14+. They have to score 31+ to win. I just don't see how they will stop Jonathon Watts...flat out athlete, 6'4"...looks like Randy Moss. 11.4 100M, 49 400m as a junior.

And they have others... Staley couldn't even stop them in the first half, at least.

I totally agree. K probably had no business winning that District game last year. But special teams and D came up HUGE in that game. PC could have potentially walked all over everyone--and yes, Harrisonville too. K had everything go right.

If they get up 14-0 on Kearney as quickly as they did Staley, it will likely be a very long night for Kearney.

Platte County. Way to explosive. Purple pups loose again, and fall on down Class 4A standings. (Number 6 now. Will Kar-knee be number 8 this time next week?)

This is the type of game that the Dogs always seem to show up for. Should be interesting.

Under Jones yes they did, however even in his tenure they were never dominated all around like last week. Some have pointed out how Harrisonville overcame a similar score (49-0 at Platte County) last year. HUGE difference is that team was minus three of their top players. K was pretty much full strength last week. I think PC wins tonight and it will be over by half.............again hoping to see the unexpected and be totally wrong and I will own it 100 percent if I am.

Kearney 31-24 with a little over 1 minute left. PC ties, Ktown scores on a 75 yard pass.... Not sure that lead is safe with PC's receivers.

Wow!! I started watching with 8 min left in the 4th. Game is fantastic!!! Announcers calling the game are REALLY REALLY bad tho . Its actually pretty funny listening to them

Worst announcers I've heard in a long time. Not sure why PC doesn't just throw at 21 all night long. Kearney's front 7 is very good, but Gray really has made no move to fix the back end of his D.

Looks like the purple PUPS showed up tonight
DID THEY EVER. I will own that one was not very hopeful after last week..............go from the worst game I've seen in years to best in just ONE week. Goes to show never know what the heck to expect and why this is the greatest sport on the planet!

I think it's really a testament to how complete Staley is - both sides of the ball and every facet of the game. Staley put a thumping on both of those teams (and it wasn't a fluke.)

The Kearney/Platte rematch for district should be another great game.

You were almost dead right.................I would say lesson learned but I haven't in 4 decades so why start now?

Hehehehe WRONG again troll boy!!! Bulldogs win again. 14-1 vs PC. Lol. Some things never change. Bahaha

Lots of crazy fade pass/ Hail Marys completed for PC + several completely blown calls kept this game close. PC's downfall. Running game shut down. Defense got their butt kicked.

District final in bad weather, Kearney by 14

Yep. It took more than 31

Platte County's inability to run the football was a major factor in this game. Outside of what I can only describe as "prayers"thrown by the PC QB that their WR were able to simply out athlete the Kearney kids Kearney likely wins this game by at least 2 scores. Having a 6-5 athletic WR at the high school level will certainly keep you in games
A bad weather game likely dooms a great year by the Pirates come playoff time
