A lot has changed for the Platte County Pirates program that once dominated Class 3 earning back-to-back-to-back Show-Me Bowl titles. The Pirates are no longer a member of Class 3, moving up to Class 4 and have also moved from the Midland Empire they once dominated. Competing in the Suburban Blue against Kearney and Staley annually two of the top programs in the Show-Me State the Pirates are battled tested when district football approaches.
A season ago the Pirates who now compete under the direction of head coach Bill Utz finished with a 8-4 mark, sweeping through an undefeated district championship.
