I was very, very hopeful but didn't happen and too many paid the price although I all but know the vast majority will be fine.
Week 1 is always a pen, TO filled mess even among the "elite" teams agree. I still contend this raging HEAT had a lot to say as well. Prayers we NEVER see a week like that again!

I’m guessing would have been a scheduling nightmare for many schools, the SAT was given today, lots of volleyball tournaments, softball tournaments, cross country meets, and there’s a referee shortage in Missouri.
Your still on the 6 turnover thing, what about last night? What kind of excuse do you have for that. Last time I checked turnovers were apart of the game. If you were fast enough the turnovers probably wouldn't happen. Don't tell people to relax that its week 1 after you predict that Kearney will turbo PC.

Northern MO was on the edge of the cool front. All the heat and humidity essentially dams up against one. THI was incredible especially in the second half. The dew point at 10 PM was a whopping 83 degrees.

Is this because refs finally called PC for holding every play? KMO for PI finally? We will see what the next few weeks of excuses are for games won or lost by these northland teams. Sometimes it's just a game and unfortunate things change the dynamic of the game like a QB (two year starter) getting hurt.

Week 2 Class 4 State intel: Watch the Blair Oaks vs. Lutheran North game intently. Those Class 3 Falcons didn't look like they lost one step, folks. If Lutheran takes this one look out.
This week against Grain Valley should be telling of where Grandview stands in C4.
After the big shakeup in C4 Week 1 My Top 5 would be:
1) Lutheran North
2) Smithville
3) Hillsboro
4) Kearney
5) Hannibal
I "believe" Grandview will have a shot at being in the second 5.
Smithville at #1 and nothing from Oklahoma Drill.............
Track Shoes at #4... should they be that high ?
Smithville is the most disciplined team in this area and yes that includes the C6 monster to their southeast.
Huge key injury that shocked the team right out of the gate last week. I put way more stock into what happens this Friday. As of today yeah I give Smithville a very good shot to beat Kearney at home Week 3.
If you are Bult and FTO given your track record vs. Minnick what do you game plan for? Kearney's backup QB looked a very expected rough in the beginning but showed some flashes especially in the 4th quarter. I'd bet anything they force Fort's QB to win this one. The D line is beast mode.
