In his forth season at the helm in Brad Parsons looks to have his best
Boonville Pirate baseball team. A season ago the Pirates finished 7-3,
second in the NCMC this year the team feels they will win even more.
Senior running back Kellen Kempf(5-9 180) returns
following an all-conference season along with junior running backs Wes
Davis(5-8 175) and Dyllan Crowley(6-0 180). Senior Aaron Schanzmeyer(5-10
175) looks to step into his first starting role at quarterback.
Schanzmeyer will have veterans to throw to in all-conference senior wide
receiver Devon Hohensee and TE/DL James Dowling.
Senior linebacker Gavin Hall (5-10 185) will be counted
on in his third full season of varsity football. An all-NCMC
performer Hall has nearly 200 varsity tackles and is among the league
leaders in sacks. Junior defensive back Wes Daniels returns after
earning all-league honors as well with Kempf a key to the defense.
Boonville will compete with Hannibal for the league title, come title
time the Pirates should be the favorite and a playoff participant.
