The first 12 listed made their first post in 2001. Some are still posting 17 years latter. It would be nice to hear from you again on MoSports.com.

GiantHook passed away a couple of years ago. Could be longer, things I think happened last year usually turn out to be 3 or 4 years ago. Hook had a lot of good information to share when he was here.

Seems like I came across mosports even before 2001. I think I first found it in 1999 when I was coaching baseball at Herculaneum and looking for information Branson, St. Clair and Excelsior Springs....

My time as an ISS teacher in 2001 era probably contributed to many of my posts....
Due to my real job and my part time job I've been singled out on this page more times than I care. I have probably turned into a creeper and not much of a poster. I tend to pick who I post/communicate with on her as stay out of the mix....

Metrodude, you are a troll. Your thread is worthless, you don't even qualify as a rookie.

The post count adds up when you post on any rivals forum, not just Mosports. I have posted on several different forums on Mosports, not just one or two, and also some other rivals boards. That and I've been here for a long time, have been retired from the RR for a long time and I have an opinion on a lot of subjects. :D

...Dude~~ That's interesting info..
Where have all those posters gone..?~!
When I first joined the MoSports board I was much younger and most likely pissed alot of people off... Now i'm older and got more "scents" and post infrequently when it's important..lol

Be interesting to find out the age of the posters... I'm 74...
Have a good summer!
C =|~

You always got me into problems!!!

My standard joke when people talk about age:
"I'll be 59 next month, but I'm not married and have no kids, so I'm 27 in reality years which is why I have all my hair and much of it is still the original color":D

I post mostly during the hoops season. I’m 46, almost 47, and an avid Sikeston fan.

Rocket, thanks for reporting back. I have not seen you for a while but will see you during the basketball season. Sikeston should be a top four team in class 4. I'm guessing Farmington could be the competition before the quarter final in St. Louis. Tony Irons and his Vashon Woverines will be waiting if the route to Springfield stays the same.

I have heard Fred Thatch the all propose player from Sikeston is doing well for Travis Ford and the St. Louis University Bills. St. Louis University may have got a steal when Fred signed.

I'm equal parts proud and embarrassed at that post total. Should slow down though. No more ISS classroom to inflate that post count.

Not who is moving in and out of districts implying that there is recruiting going on. You are funny though. I forgot more basketball by the age of 30 than you ever knew and I am turning 70 in a couple of months.

Hey semo747883, what high schools did you coach. Were you a high school basketball player in SEMO? If you coached in Southeast Missouri I should know you. Give us a hint?

Thanks in advance

Yeah I did. Hint Missouri: 1974-78. Southern Illinois 1978-82. 4 years in Navy. And I am not Joe C. Blincoe.

I’m intrigued now! Where in those places? I spent first 10 yrs of my life in southern IL then moved to SEMO.

The big winners in Southeast Missouri during your years there.

1974-----Class 2-----Lilbourn------- -------------State Champions-------Coach--Larry Warren

1975----Class 1-----Advance--------------------State Champions-------Coach Corroll Cookson

1976--- Class 1-----Scott County Central----State Champions-------Coach----Ron Cookson

1977---Class 3-----Charleston-----------------Third Place---------------?

1978---Class 2-----Lilbourn--------------------Third Place---------------?

SEMO747883, I'm guess your teams did not play in the final four during your time in Southeast Missouri. Give us some hints on where you coached ? I knew Corroll Cookson, Ron Cookson and Larry Warren, they were great coaches who took winning serious.

Semo747883, Did you ever get in the ring with the above coaches? You have reported about losing basketball knowledge by the age of 30. These three above coaches made all coaches feel like they were losing knowledge. I hope this is not the reason you left SEMO in 1978!

No. Going into administration was the reason I left. I knew all those guys and many other good coaches. Can't feed a family on a coaching salary. I sort of think you are forgetting Lennies McFerrin and Paul Hale, two great coaches in that era. Lots of good coaches don't play in the final four. Cookson kicked the best player he had off the team one year for going deer hunting and missing practice. He took fourth in state that year and won it the next.

There were many other great coaches in the area. Very underrated was Terry Tomlinson at Neelyville. Mitch Haskins at Charleston was solid as a rock, later a JUCO coach.
