Perryville Crashes Into 3A Final 4

Congrats to PHS in reaching their first volleyball Final 4 knocking off Lutheran South at their place in 3 sets.

Perryville was down 20-16 in the 3rd set and went on 8-1 run. One the most craziest things I have seen in high school sports being that Lutheran South was very talented across the board. It's amazing what pressure can do to high school athletes. Perryville stepped up and played outstanding defensively and enough offense to get the job done. 1st final four in phs volleyball history! Congrats to Coach Dave Mirly and his assistants and all the players throughout the program! Very proud to be a Perryville pirate/lady pirate tonight!

I have to agree. It is crazy to sit in the stands and watch how the pressure gets to some of these poor girls in the postseason. Everyone in the gym can see it unfolding in front of their eyes and most of the time the girls can't do anything to stop it.
