First let me say I am rooting for the Comets, but this years Comet team is not as good as last years Comet team. They have been struggling with average/below average teams the last few weeks. I have had conversations with people very close to the program, they feel the Comets are underdogs. I hope they win but I have concerns
Pierce City's average/below average running back went down after 2 carries for over 40 yards and a TD. It was 8-7 late into the 3rd. Marionville had an ugly game. The Comets are going to get schooled.
Not sure how it’s not a 2 touchdown or more win for Adrian. Adrian will have to beat themselves to lose this one.
And they will get all the big calls, Veer!
I think Adrian wins this one. Maybe not quite double digits but in that ballpark. Adrian's run defense is legit! ( Last week held Ash Grove to -13 rushing yards) #77 and #53 will take a double team to avoid them from being in the backfield almost every play. The linebackers are nothing to sleep on as they are flying around and plugging those inside runs.
Adrian's RB is a work horse rarely being tackled on first contact. The QB has an arm and can hurt you with his legs.
Where Adrian does lack is on pass defense, QB trying to extend plays and make silly mistakes, and silly penalties that kills drives.

I remember somebody saying it was going to be a long night for their running game.
I can’t speak to that, never been to a game @ Diamond in my life. Or that I can remember at least.
We went down for a JV game a few years back. He was funny and charming at first and wearing on our nerves by halftime.

According to this 1998 article by MDC, one could be fined $1000 for intentionally harming or killing one. Wonder what it is now? Keep the crock pots at home.
Okay. What's the deal with the white squirrels? I ask because my dad is from Carrollton and said he regularly would see white squirrels in the neighborhoods. I never believed him until I was high school and saw 2 while visiting my grandparents. I've spotted several now over the years. Albinism is clearly in the gene pool of those squirrels. I have pictures but have no idea how to upload a photo on here
It's just one of the mysteries about Marionville apparently. The city seems to have them, but the surrounding area not so much. However, I go down there to get peaches late summer/early fall, not to see albino tree rats. Murphy's Orchard does well.
I heard about them my whole life and only saw one ever until I think it was around 2020. Then I would see at least one every time I passed through town. Now I haven’t seen one in years again.
