Nice match up tonight in Dexter as #1 ranked Park Hills Central (Class 3) travels south to play #5 Dexter (class 4). On paper at least looks like a good match up.

Dexter is missing sophomore Hanna Thurman, a key piece from last season. She makes a BIG difference defending the paint, also scored when needed and helped handle to ball against pressure too. They still have a very good post player in sophomore Krysten Garrison and the freshman Moseby is coming in as their leading scorer with about 14ppg. This game, like many others, could come down to who can stay out of foul trouble. If either Garrison or Skaggs has to leave with early foul trouble it could be a big advantage for the other team. I think Dexter is capable of overcoming that against a quality opponent, as did Park Hills Saturday with Skaggs on the bench against Sikeston. I guess I'll just show up and see what happens. But Miss Skaggs takes care of a lot of problems! We have not shot it well lately. I'm just excited to see two of the better teams on this side of the state play!
Good game but mostly controlled by PH who has now won 43 straight. Foul trouble was never and issue for either team and the two horses inside finished with 23 for Skaggs and I think 18 for Garrison. Both will be a tough out in districts and beyond.Very impressive win by PHC Lady Rebels 55-42. They have a very nice team.
Lady Rebs do play good defense but Dexter's shooting woes have been there for a while now. They've been able to score in various ways well enough to win games and assume the long range game will return at some point. At least the shooters have not let it affect the rest of their game so far.I was very impressed with Dexter. I know they didn't shoot it super great but I hope some of that was the lady rebel defense. I predict a lady bearcat run in districts and beyond.
