Nubs sign a guy that couldn't qualify at Wisconsin.

Are the standards at USF and Wisconsin THAT high?

I am not an OU or Nebraska fan, and maybe I'm just taking your "bait." That said, you have got to be the most miserable, negative, self esteem challenged, individual on this board. So a kid gets an opportunity to play college football - what is wrong with that? The young men are being given an opportunity to use their God given talent, and I hope it leads to a degree and productive future. Your calling them out - even though it is likely that none of us on this board know these young men, or ever will - is pretty pathetic. Who knows what circumstances lead to their academic challenge? Who are you to judge - and disparage?

I think we could agree that with few exceptions most programs bend their academic and good citizen requirements to get athletes in the door. There is too much money at stake, and frankly there is a great deal of ethical ambiguity at most universities. For all any of us know they are both really good kids.

For your edification, Wisconsin is indeed a fine academic institution with an excellent reputation.

Did I say they were bad kids? I just find it odd that a kid can't get into USF but can OU. I realize Wisconsin is a great university. I

And programs absolutely relax standards to get athletes in the door. Rockhurst included.

As for your psychoanalyzing....better stick to working on succinct thoughts.

UW Madison is among the most elite universities in the USA..................know this because of their exceptional (I am a research scientist by trade) Chemistry program for which I actually was accepted way way back in 1982. MORock you hit the nail on the head..............all the more I have to say about this.
