One week until the Rockhurst win over Webb.

WEBB is pretty small upfront. I have a feeling Castilla will be needed on that Dline for most the game against the ROCK. Kid is a beast and has to be double teamed. Hope ROCKs passing game is slow to get going as we drop to many back in coverage and couldn't get pressure against cTOWN rushing 3. Not sure if Potts just beat Vanlue out or if JROD feels he is to important on D to run him but I was a big fan of his last year. Seems to me he's a little faster and more of a beast. Should be a good game which contrary to the score last year was a good game.

Vanlue is a very good linebacker. He is where he needs to be. He will get carries in key spots

As I watched one of our D-linemen play Friday night, one thing kept coming to mind....."Rudy".

Our guys up front (minus Castillo) got pushed around a bit by the bigger Carthage offensive line, but they did enough to hold their own and the linebackers filled like mad men.

Only one week left. The excitement is building. I can't wait. Gonna shove it down your throats. Bahahaha

Possibly? During Webb's game with Carthage, I saw some problems on offense, some areas of concern on defense and a thing or two on special teams that wasn't quite right and I couldn't help but think maybe Webb would be in big trouble against Rockhurst. Then after the game, I heard Coach Rod say that this team only had three things that he saw that needed improvement before next week.......then I felt better.;)

Go Big Red!!

You know I was joking/ being sarcastic. Webb will light them up.

It is difficult to discern sarcasm in black & white print. I took it as a fun jab at Cardinal fans and as a way to get some discussion started. I am a bit surprised at how the voting is going (2 to 1 for Webb presently). Last year RH ran away with the voting so that may not be a good omen......if you buy into that stuff. I picked Webb last year but certainly did not see the margin. I think it will be a great game one way or the other. I looked forward to last years matchup as soon as the news was released and have been anticipating the Hawklet's trip to Cardinal stadium this year. As a HS football fan, I am grateful to RH for taking this game.

I hope the Hawklet's bring a big crowd. For those of you in the know, how many do you expect to make the 2 hour drive Friday night? Safe travel wishes for all!

I thought there were almost as many WEBB fans at the game last year as there were ROCK fans. During the rain delay though I did acquire a cup of Chivas on the rocks from some ROCK fans enjoying themselves on the hill. I dont expect a huge visiting crowd.

You only got a cup.....the RH fans must have had a 5th before we got to the 3rd & 4th. If it were not for the student section faithful, I am pretty sure we would have heard crickets on the home side last year in the 2nd half.

I don't think Rock will travel well fan wise but we are close to finding out .
I'd like to see it will it be replayed on pod cast ?

Interesting comments, including how running the ball may work in Sw Mo but they were playing "big boy" football now.

Why an Arkansas school?

It is actually just a guess but it seems to work out that either Har-Ber or Rogers has an open date in week 1-2 and it is only a 70-80 min trip so makes for easier scheduling and the competition is usually very good. None of those games bring the excitement that a match-up with Rock brings of course.
