The answer is absolutely not. Only 8% of all high school football athletes compete at the next level...at any of the college levels. So take the top 8% pool, give them 3-4 years more additional training, aging, and coaching--and you would not have a close game.

Back before 2002 Kearney had just a bit of playoff history under (God rest his soul) my old PE coach and HC Bill Skillman from 1985-92. I remember some of those games my were they ugly......................again never anything but total respect for the HVille program.

This years Staley defense is as good as I've seen in KC in a long time. This could very well be the first of two meetings. Should be a lot of to to watch.

Fort-Staley cannot wait just hope the severe weather holds off!

I'm just being honest. I think WC has what it takes to run the table but at the moment I see Nixa giving WC a tough challenge and I don't think potential match-ups with Harrisonville, Kearney for that matter even CJ are going to be cakewalks.

If winning 6 titles in a row were easy someone else would have done it before now. This 1-team race stuff is silly and discounts what I think could be potentially strong teams like Kearney in November.

If WC had played Kearney in week 3 with their QB out, yes I think WC rolls easy. If WC had played Kearney last Friday Kearney probably would have won so let's pump the breaks and let the season play out.

You just cannot defeat injuries..................Kearney has had awful luck in that regard the past two years. I still call it a coaching feat and virtual miracle they even made the semis last year.
