Both playing National schedules (again) colliding tonight just like a year ago. Definitely the MO game of December...............
I did an ongoing NKCSD thread on this site a year ago it is not quite shaping up the same but Staley and Tonka definitely look good so far, too. In person attendance, like 2023-24, will again focus on these area schools.Beat 3 reigning state champions that week, Shawnee Mission NW being the other one
Winnetonka defeated MaxPreps KS all classes #4 Blue Valley Northwest last week!I did an ongoing NKCSD thread on this site a year ago it is not quite shaping up the same but Staley and Tonka definitely look good so far, too. In person attendance, like 2023-24, will again focus on these area schools.
I wanted to watch the Christmas tournament back home but they want $80 for the whole tournament. I will just select the games i want lolI have not followed basketball closely in the last few years as Texas kind of turned me into Football only, however the alma mater is ranked in girls and receiving votes in boys so I decided to watch a few games. GV on the other hand is apparently not historically a basketball school so not much to go on there.
I honestly ultra-rarely attend regular season games just watch online but like to get out in the area and catch a top end one or two. Lafayette-Benton may be another I look into what a rivalry and both are pretty strong (last saw the Irish, one of my favorite boys programs state wide, at Kearney in a district playoff game right before the virus destroyed the rest of the playoffs).I have not followed basketball closely in the last few years as Texas kind of turned me into Football only, however the alma mater is ranked in girls and receiving votes in boys so I decided to watch a few games. Girls BB haven't been to a regular season game since circa 2000. Used to follow that when kids I grew up with in my old Holt neighborhood comprised much of what was a very good program in the 80s. I do know, though, that GV is very highly regarded this year it will be a matter of handling one of the all time great programs in this sport Columbia Rock Bridge come district time.
Glad you mentioned TX here because OP's lone loss was to (drum roll) newly crowned 6A D1 FB champ NORTH CROWLEY.I have not followed basketball closely in the last few years as Texas kind of turned me into Football only, however the alma mater is ranked in girls and receiving votes in boys so I decided to watch a few games. One thing I noticed being down there is they have probably the most of what I hate the most and that's 1 sport athletes. They could literally play each sport year round because so few do anything but 1 sport.Glad you mentioned TX here because OP's lone loss was to (drum roll) newly crowned 6A D1 FB champ NORTH CROWLEY.
Perhaps concentrating on the single sport each kid likes/excels most at is why so many big time athletes come from TX?One thing I noticed being down there is they have probably the most of what I hate the most and that's 1 sport athletes. It definitely can be. However it is also the reason for so many injuries. Not sure that's a good trade off, it is more on the baseball side as the arm needs rest.Perhaps concentrating on the single sport each kid likes/excels most at is why so many big time athletes come from TX?
