OP ran it straight at them (RHS wanted no part) and possessed the ball the majority of the game. I
Just one week ago (here I go thinking again this season) was of the opinion the Platte County-Kearney game may not be close. Given this Oak Park result plus the Pirates rolled what should be improved Park Hill South have to think this Friday will be another 92 highway rivalry classic (and, frankly, quite the physical war). Cannot wait!OP ran it straight at them (RHS wanted no part) and possessed the ball the majority of the game. I

Over at prepskc their brief Kearney-Staley write up contained one very interesting line from Falcons HC Phil Lite: "Kearney is a very physical football team". Lost in the result was the fact the Bulldogs D was on the field most of the game plus made a lot of very good plays vs. a nearly intact O Line and an array of top athletes at the skill positions. The other side of the ball is where the concerns exist but they are fixable. Again cannot wait for this one................PC may be better than ever this year considering the OP 35-0 result and PHS result, who played toe to toe with Ray Pec.
Yep..shaping up for a battle royal.
PC was better than OP, but not by the margin the final score indicated. OP was minus 7 in the turnover battle. 2 went for TDs and another in minus territory. The OP defense has been pretty solid the first 2 weeks.
PHS was playing without there starting QB. He got injured vs Ray-Pec on the last play of the game for PHS. So that hurt them going into that game vs PC. PC is very good though. PHS is not as good as everyone thought.Just one week ago (here I go thinking again this season) was of the opinion the Platte County-Kearney game may not be close.
