I, for one, love it. New schools (or some who have not won in awhile) with a shot at the C4 semifinal is GOOD for the sport. Hannibal also got blown out tonight so change in D7-8 is definitely in the wind.

Your passion is outstanding but I would probably suggest not publicly calling for the HC's head. This is just high school and you are talking about someone's career. Not like these guys are paid millions like those spoiled bleeps in the NFL.

Glory is fleeting for everyone. Even Webb feels it on occasion. Adkins will always be known as one of if not THE top HCs in the history of this great sport in MO.
He did take a crapload of money with the expectation of returning the program to what it used to be

Cards is right that split is coming. We all have seen what happened in CoMo when Battle opened...........as for the HC they still make a minor amount compared to even college coaches. Again I do like his passion that is what being a fan is all about.
Not asking for a return to the Adkins days. That is unlikely and an unfair burden to put on anyone.
But, really, 3-7 with this talent? 4-8 postseason in 12 years? TWELVE? If this was year 3 or 4 or 5 I would not speak of it. But 12 years is a long time and this is what we’re left with?

Laguna hate to tell ya but it can get worse. If you would have told me as a Joplin Parkwood guy that we wont be able to compete with the states top teams for 25/30 YEARS I would never have believed it. We have lost lots of families to Carl Junction and Webb City but its like that in every town. People move to smaller schools around the larger towns. Springfield has Nixa who has exploded and Ozark. Jeff has Blair oaks and Helias. Anyway It has sucked. lol
Now I will say a lot of the time unlike jeff city, we just didn't have the jim's and joe's.

Take a drive down Hwy. 50 to Sedalia and talk to those folks…they might help ya with some perspective…lol.
I get Sedalia wasn’t a Jeff City but that district was on Johnson’s ass. The most winning coach in Sedalia history. Everyone thought Boyer was going to leave his mark and he did if you count the ridiculous Class 2 and 3 schedule. Rob Davis is the worse AD any school could ever posses. Blame him for the Sedalia embarrassment. Maybe someone could call Johnson out of retirement. McFail isn’t the answer either.

Here we sit thinking about how great it must feel to be a fan of Helias and Blair Oaks. Still playing for a district title, something we at JC haven’t experienced since 2008 ( when this year’s seniors were in 3rd grade).

Yes. Postseason or playoffs are post-districts. I understand that MSHSAA does not agree.
No. Post season is any game after week 10. Week 10 games can’t be considered post season because every team plays week 10 regardless of record. It is part of the regular season. After that game you are considered to be playing “post season “.

Man Laguna75, hadn't heard from you for more than 24 hours so was starting to worry. Hang in there - better times ahead (surely).
Retired Sedalia Smith-Cotton HC who took a perennial loser (like three winning seasons in thirty years before his arrival) and turned them into a conference and district champion. Before his Sedalia miracle, he was HC @ Monett HS in So. Missouri…also very successful there.
