The DeSoto Dragons had plenty of talent a season ago, but struggled down the stretch, completing a subpar season with a 15-11 mark. In a season head coach Alan Davis celebrated his 500th victory, a sour taste was left from a season of lost opportunities.

This year the Dragons are selected by many to return to heights the program has known throughout the Davis era. With 6-foot-1 inch senior guard Jared White and 6-foot-9 inch senior center Colin Ferguson returning along with several other varsity lettermen the Dragons are prepared.

White is receiving Division I football recruiting interest and has played basketball at a high level with the St. Louis Eagles. A season ago he averaged just under 20 points per game, connected on 36 threes, and hit 77% of his 164 free throw attempts.

Ferguson has great size and improving footwork and is receiving Division I recruiting interest on the hard wood. A season ago he averaged 11 points, 9 rebounds and finished the season with 67 blocks.
