Oak Park is 20-1 the class of the C6 bunch to date. Staley lurking with a solid 15-5 record so is NKC (who I need to get out and see live) at 15-4 with a 10 game win streak since losing to the aforementioned Northmen.

Winnetonka, a C5 semifinalist a year ago, seems a smidge down but still a solid final four contender at 15-5.

The first three all collide at Oak Park in D8 while Tonka looks to be challenged in D8 by host Kearney (whom they beat by 7 last night and face again final Thursday of the regular season) and Pembroke Hill who is a deceptive .500 vs. a top schedule.

Now that the latest Chiefs SB run is done will try to hop on this board more especially with so many top notch playoff games to come!

What's your take on Oak Park as of late? They looked like world beaters early on and now they've let a lot of very average teams hang within 10-15 points.

My radar went up when Pembroke Hill took them to OT and from what I can tell JaRon nor Kareem Rush was dressed out for the Raiders.

Too many crazy things happen in this sport but will Chaminade vs. Oak Park happen? Who all looks to stand in their way?
OP has tough road, they will likely have to get past BSS/Rockhurst after they get by NKC/Staley again in districts and then potentially face Kickapoo/Nixa after that. If they make it to Chaminade then they will be battle tested. They have as good a shot as anyone, but this isn't the Staley team from a few years back, they will need to play well to win those games.

Last year, if memory serves me correctly the style of play in KC caught up to them, officials in KC don't call anything and if I remember correctly they had several starters foul out in semifinal or third place game with state officials from other areas. They need to have officials that let them play for sure.

Last year they lost to Chaminade by 10 I saw the whole game it really wasn't that close the Red Devils were in complete control most of the way. The foul trouble was frustration as much as anything as I recall. This team "seems" different but folks here have pointed out they seemed to be coasting earlier this second half of this regular season.

They just beat what was a red hot NKC a second time last Friday night. Don't count Park Hill out on a given night in that district, either. All that being said the Northmen should return to the Final Four then it could get real interesting either a blowout rematch vs. Rock or unknowns Nixa-Kickapoo (really like the Chiefs that is a very fundamentally sound group).

The other end is Chaminade that team is so far beyond battle tested but perhaps a third crack at them could benefit upmoving defending C5 champ DeSmet? Reaching there I just don't see anyone beating them before the final (Ritter is really down BTW).

Agree PH on any given night may be able to surprise anyone, that district is crazy and has been for several years now with very senior heavy teams in top 4, could be fun one to watch.

I think both Liberty & PH took NKC to the wire leading up to that OP game. Kind of thought OP would run away with it and hearing it wasn't that close, but the style that NKC plays doesn't match up well against OP. (IMO)

I really wouldn't sleep on BSS or Battle, think one of them will come out of that district and play OP first (assuming they get past districts), BSS put it too NKC earlier and have been streaky, caught Battle in Jewell tourney and they are deep and have athletes to beat anyone on a given night.

I've got a feeling Rockhurst doesn't make it out of districts, but LS has been streaky as well. Both have the athletes to get it done, just not sold on Rockhurst.

Watched LS the other night and they were missing one of their bigs. in street clothes on the bench.

BSS is streaky to say the least! 2 head scratchers (BS and LSW recent losses) plus another really hard to figure bunch in LSN. I like one of the CoMo schools to win that district perhaps, out of the weeds, the host Rock Bridge.

What I would say about BSS is that the Suburban Gold is the weirdest conference I think I've seen in a while. No teams I'd consider "great" but also no awful teams.
