Nixa said no more too hot, no more lightning, we practice as we plan. Good job Nixa
Looks similar to Carthage but they only have half a field.Anyone know who else has indoor facilities like this? Surely they aren't the only ones.
I must be missing something at Branson.. The one that Rog is building is going to be really niceCassville and Branson are the only ones I can think of
If this is how public schools choose to spend our tax dollars, I think they have forfeited the argument we need more money to educate the children.Nixa said no more too hot, no more lightning, we practice as we plan. Good job Nixa

Nixa should exit their league and go major independent. Love the facility but no State titles until they schedule up!Nixa said no more too hot, no more lightning, we practice as we plan. Good job Nixa

A lot of these facilities are used by the community as well. Some of them probably as much as the school district does.If this is how public schools choose to spend our tax dollars, I think they have forfeited the argument we need more money to educate the children.
I can tell you in Nixa that is not the case.A lot of these facilities are used by the community as well. Some of them probably as much as the school district does.

It’s not sour grapes at all. If they want to spend the citizens tax dollars on an indoor football facility that is totally fine. But don’t propose a tax increase saying they need more money for the students, one of the usual claims is that the teachers are having to pay for classroom supplies with their own money. I already pay thousands of dollars in property tax on an annual basis, I don’t want to have to pay more because Nixa chose to build an indoor football facility.![]()
Somebody had some sour grapes...
Cape Central, Eldon, Logan-Rogersville, Strafford, Carthage, Neosho, Ozark all have some form of one or are building one. There has to be some in KC and STL as well.Anyone know who else has indoor facilities like this? Surely they aren't the only ones.

if its not done yet, how do you know? I know the original plan called for classrooms among other things in the building. Also its not a football only facility. Band as well as other sports are going to be using it. Wasnt there a large "community space" as part of the design to hold public events at? Has that changed, or are you assuming?I can tell you in Nixa that is not the case.

This is what the "Community space" is going to look like. This is just an artist rendering ,not the real thing.if its not done yet, how do you know? You know. That is rude, hurtful, and not very constructive.
Or maybe this helps them get a even better education at the next level, maybe this helps keep them off the streets, away from drugs, maybe this gives them a purpose and changes them forever. $$$ well spentIf this is how public schools choose to spend our tax dollars, I think they have forfeited the argument we need more money to educate the children.
But you can accomplish those things without spending as much as nixa does. I guess that’s just from spending so much time in Webb city where they are hawkish with tax dollars to keep taxes low while still achieving. I know there are varying opinions on things and nixa is not Webb city or Carthage but nixa goes over the top on spending and everything they do. They have a freakin laser light and fireworks show for every touchdown. It doesn’t have much to do with academics it’s about being a destination school district that attracts and retains the best families and students/players and faculty including coaches. Academic success will happen at nixa with or without building the most glittery facilites in the ozarks.Or maybe this helps them get a even better education at the next level, maybe this helps keep them off the streets, away from drugs, maybe this gives them a purpose and changes them forever. $$$ well spent
nice household incomes move to areas with nice facilities. its ok to disagreeBut you can accomplish those things without spending as much as nixa does. Look at Carl junction. They spend a fraction of what nixa does but also enjoys above average academic scores. The common thread isn’t spending or indoor football facilities it’s household income.
You do realize the taxpayers approved this, right? If this is how public schools choose to spend our tax dollars, I think they have forfeited the argument we need more money to educate the children.
Like most things Nixa does, they did this better than everyone else. Their school, community, and leaders just get it. And a lot of others are just pissy and jealous. Their business model is there for others to copy, but you have to commit and work hard to do that. Others typically just choose to bitch and moan.I will say this, I have seen some of the HS indoor facilities in Missouri and most aren’t very big.
Or the football area of the indoor facility isn’t very big.
The one that Nixa is building is massive.
Seems like most of the ones I’ve seen either is long-ish, but not very wide, vice versa. This one appears to be just large in general.
The citizens vote. Can always move if you don’t like it. Property values are super high.Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I believe Nixa already has the highest tax rate in the COC and that seems odd considering they probably have the highest property values as well. They have spent a crap ton of money on facilities but I guess residents there are ok with the spending and high taxes.
1000% correctnice household incomes move to areas with nice facilities. its ok to disagree
